This was my first time assembling a 3D wooden puzzle. I previously tried similar crafts but none of them gave me the sense of accomplishment at this level before. It’s so great to see something you build is elegantly spinning with a nice calming music. The design is great and it looks really beautiful once it’s complete.After all those good comments I just want to mention some improvement areas. First of all the directions on how to build the ferris wheel is not that great. There are indications on the front and back side of the pieces but it’s not clear which side should be used where. You receive several blocks of cut wood and they are marked as A-B-C….H. There are some pieces that are identical like A1 and B2 (I might not be correct on this example) because they are carved on different blocks. I thinks it’s for operational reasons but for the person who is assembling might be confused as I was at the beginning.The last and most important thing I noticed is the order of the assembly steps should be reconsidered. This is a really delicate piece because you have to work with narrow, small and fragile pieces constantly. The assembly guides are not making the process easier. I broke 2 of the wheel spokes and it hindered the joy of building a little bit. I strongly suggest to revise the steps, if I’ve done it now, I would not follow the instructions for attaching 2 wheels together. That is the problematic section.I still think this is a great product with its price level and it’s rewarding to see what you build every day. I’ll definitely continue building this type of craft but I’ll also approach the guidelines skeptically.

I just completed this model, but overall, the design feels subpar. Many of the wooden structures are prone to deformation, and there arenât enough spare parts provided for some of the delicate, easily breakable components. Although it can eventually be assembled, the Ferris wheelâs rotation often encounters issues. If youâre just looking for something to pass the time, itâs decent enough, but donât expect the final product particularly impressive.

This is a cool gift ideaI bought it as a birthday gift for a 12 years oldShe enjoyed it so muchLike other reviews said, the material is very easy to break ( one or 2 pieces snapped but they were easily repairable with glue and it was impossible to notice them once the whole Ferris Wheel was completed )The price is very high though for what the raw material would have cost
I received this and I’m currently finishing up a project I had already started. As soon as I get finished with what I’m working on and start this one, I’ll update my review. ThanksP.S. I’m excited to get started on this one! ðUpdate 5/05/23This was my first of these “puzzles”(shouldn’t be called puzzles because they come with instructions, no puzzle I’ve ever gotten has had instructions ð).With all the problems I had with pieces breaking, (the ‘spokes’?), the long and thin pieces that actually hold the cars/seats on them, broke one after another. Thank goodness they give you plenty of spares! The longest part I had to do was painting it. What I learned with that part is to Not paint the little tabs that click into each other! I had to sand those that I had painted already, luckily I learned my lesson quickly! LolI used paint pens which came in handy, but I think my next one, I already bought it, the carnival swing, I’ll invest in some good permanent markers. I believe I won’t have some of the problems I had with the paint because their not thick like paint.Once I got past those dern spokes breaking, it went together quickly and nicely. I’m proud of myself for finishing it because at one point I was going to give up and throw it away! I’m glad I didn’t! It came out so cute and my family loves it. â¤ï¸I’m addicted to these now! LolI’ve been building mini dollhouses for about 2 years, this has been a nice break from those. I haven’t given up my dollhouses, I have 3 of them waiting for me to build ð.But I think I’ll switch back and forth from these to the mini houses. (P.S. I have 3 more of these wooden “puzzles” on the way… Addicted anyone?! ðð¤£)For anyone who wants to try one, I say go for it! I’m a 60 yo lady with big(no, not man hands, haha) hands that shake a bit, but if you’re just careful and PATIENT, it’ll come out great! I walked away from this a couple of times, but my determination keep my going back to finish it. I’m elated it works like it’s supposed to.Happy building everyone. ð
Perfect for starting a new hobby when home with COVID. Start with simpler models before going for this one. Needs a lot of patience and tender touch. The pieces can easily break. The finished product is amazing.Added some shelves in the living room to show off.GREAT for retired husbands who keep complaining about COVID
This was a lot of fun to build. I built a marble run previously so this wasn’t my first kit. It was challenging due to the fragility of some of the pieces. I colored mine with my wife’s paint pens as I assembled it. It initially didn’t move when I finished it and I figured out why. The 2 plastic squares are supposed to be tight on the metal rod to transfer rotation from the pulley to the ferris wheel. Unfortunately because the whole structure is kind of tight, the plastic squares are unable to overcome friction, and they start slipping on the metal rod. My fix was to use judicious drops of super glue. Pull off the pulley and bend back the ferris wheel support. Drop super glue on the rod that goes into the circle attached to the ferris wheel. Dry overnight. Put it back together, and drop glue on the bit of rod that comes out of the pulley. Let dry. Hope this helps. See pictures.
I thought this puzzle was absolutely awesome! However, I wouldn’t recommend this for someone just beginning 3D wooden puzzles or for children. The pieces are very fragile. I would suggest starting with something else to get used to the kind of pressure you need to punch out parts and place them.
Beautiful product. Reasonably easy to put together however some pieces break easily so be patient and gentle when putting it together. Love it.
