Subpar Quality and Challenging Assembly
The quality of the exterior walls was subpar, as the paint transferred onto my fingers during handling. Additionally, the glue provided was dried out and unusable. The instructions for assembling the lighting were unclear, making the process unnecessarily challenging. While the final product looks acceptable, several pieces broke during assembly, requiring me to glue them back together.
Cannot contact vendor regarding problems?
Have a defective light system. Canât contact anyone for replacement parts? Only option is to return the whole thing to Amazon after wife spent a couple hours putting it together. Not cool
Gifted – Not as nice as hoped
The person I gifted this too was not as impressed with this model as the other one. I was cheaper quality and didn’t fit together as well as the train one. Nothing special, but would suggest not to give to anyone under 14 as it is fragile to build.

My daughter and i really enjoyed putting this together. The instructions are clear. I really appreciated that there were extras of the fragile pieces, although we didnât need them. We used some tweezers to pop out small or tricky pieces. We canât wait to place this on our shelf!
Bought for adult daughter, directions were for the most part clear. She loves this displayed on her library shelves. Will continue to collect other styles!
It did take awhile, not going to lie. I started at 10am and didn’t finish till 6pm almost nonstop working on it. This was my first booknook so I was pretty happy with the instructions. Except for a few things. Some of the directions were confusing and hard to understand. One issue I had was with the light post, you have to have some sort of heating tool to heat the tubing and the bend the tubing. I didn’t have that, just a hairdryer that doesn’t work real great so we have what you can see in my picture. Also, I got so frustrated with the flocking-like bush thing, trying to glue it to the pot was like hellish punishment. Frustrating. You also do need wore cutters for the other pot behind the bush. I did break a few of the joints and had to glue it as a fix. That was irritating but whatever, it was a few pieces. Now let me tell you the balcony part and the book bay window were a pain in the you know what! The electrical parts was actually very simple and thats coming from an electric circuit IDIOT. It turns on fairly well but sometimes it does not turn on to my finger and it may be that I didn’t fix the wires in the right place in the back. All in all, cute and worth the money spent and I recommend it.
I ordered this book nook kit because it looked really cute. I was very hesitant, not sure if I could handle it. But it comes with everything you need. The only issue I had is sometimes the illustration seemed a little confusing, but if you trust the process And take your time. It is a great thing to have. Great as a gift. Great for yourself. I love it. I was so proud of myself. I even was able to assemble the electricity without issue. now I definitely want to order another one. Totally recommend.
This kit was beautifully designed and was a joy to assemble, and has resulted in a lovely and fun decorative display. The attention to detail is astonishing.The parts in the kit are small and very delicate, and it takes a great deal of care and patience to assemble, but that is exactly what I was looking for.
