The first time your little one walks across the room is very exciting, but the first time they get into the cabinets is not. Keep them from gaining access to everything from breakable objects to your secret candy stash with our Safety 1st Adhesive Cabinet and Drawer Latches.Installing the lock is easy – just peel and stick, no tools necessary – making it the perfect choice for renters or anyone who doesn’t want to damage their cabinets. It even comes with an easy-to-use installation template so you can perfectly align the latch and lock for the right fit without any measuring. You can also keep it in “unlock mode” for any period of time, which lets you prepare dinner without having to unlock the drawers and cabinets every time, or for the grandparents who only need them for childproofing when the grandkids are visiting. Have a super strong toddler on your hands? No need to worry because our Adhesive Cabinet and Drawer Latches have been toddler tested and proven stronger in both real life and mechanical lab tests, outperforming the competition.

Work as intended
Works as intended, good product. They stick well and I tried removing one, leaves no residue.
brilliant design
These are brilliant. The adhesive isn’t enough so you have to add the screws which they provide, which was easy no big deal. But what I think is brilliant about this design is that you can twist the lock on or off easily if you don’t want to have it there all the time. I absolutely love them each time I use them. They are well-made and I have no complaints and my dog has stopped dumping the garbage bins. 🙂
Not sticky, not all cabnets
These locks are easy to install, but the backs loose stickiness. They don’t work for under counter drawers. Hard to unlock the mechanism.
Works great I have been using these for years. Had to replace a few just because the stick part broke from overuse. But I like how you can rotate the stick to keep them unlocked without having to remove them. The adhesive is strong, need to use hairdryer to remove.
Super easy to install and was quite useful… until it broke… twice… within a few weeks! Was super easy to install and somewhat easy-ish to use (you need to push down on the super narrow latch while opening, which is kind of awkward at first since it is easy to miss it due to small surface area but you get used to it). The problem is after several weeks of use, that little plastic stick snaps off. When it happened, I had two spares to replace it since it comes in a box of 4 and we had only used 2 of them. I grabbed the spare and replaced right away and it was good for… a few more weeks… until it snapped off again. Iâll replace it again with the last spare I have but I know Iâll be ordering something else since I know this will only last a few weeks at most. It is priced cheap and made of cheap plastic too apparently so you get what you pay for. Unless you wanna buy them in bulk and plan on replacing them every couple of weeks, Iâd suggest a different brand (although not sure whether others are any better but maybe the bulkier ones will have more strength?). The draw of this one was that you can switch between engaged/disengaged modes simply by rotating the latch when you donât want to childproof (cat proof in our case) your cabinets. We almost never put it in the unlock mode so that turned out to be a useless feature. Wish I had bought something that had a bit more bulk to it so it doesnât snap so easily.
Having a now 1-year old in the house, I dragged my feet on installing cabinet locks because the process was always so annoying. You’d have to somehow get comfortable enough to sit (or in my case, lay down) and screw the lock hardware to the cabinet doors/frames. It takes forever, is uncomfortable, and makes your cabinets looks like crap when you remove the locks. Other adhesive cabinet locks don’t tend to adhere well enough, or dry out and fall off. NOT WITH THESE! These adhered strong upon first installation, and after letting them sit for an hour, they were ever STRONGER! I’m not saying they are the world’s strongest, but they stand up to me constantly forgetting the locks are installed and yanking on the door like a maniac. They also have a neat feature for twisting the hook on the hardware around so that it doesn’t contact the latch, essentially leaving the cabinet door “unlocked”. It’s nice when I know I’m going to be in and out of the cabinets often. They even come with mounting screw, for the event you decide you want to screw them to the cabinet anyways. 10/10 with these things! I plan on ordering more soon!
Great product, Great price!
So beware, for a safety product I found these very unreliable. Fortunately I bought a set only to keep my cat out of the cabinet where store his food, not to actually keep a toddler out of things.Functionally these are great. Well I not bother trying the adhesive only install so I don’t know about that aspect. But installed them easily with screws, and initially liked them a lot. They solved the problem off keeping the cat out while making access easy. I really like the flip-to-bypass idea. I didn’t use it much but since the same cabinet has cookware, it’s nice to have the option to stop it from latching for a while if I’m cooking. They do not require lots of force to open and the little circle makes it much easier to find a spot to press without looking. But then on broke a couple weeks after installing them – the plastic simply snapped while pressing normally to open. I thought/hoped it was kind of a fluke, so I replaced it with another from the set (luckily I did not need all of them at once). Not a fluke. Over the next few months every single one broke after minimal use. I’d say each one got an average of several weeks and, say, 30-50 presses before breaking. These are not frequent use cabinets and before you wonder if I was using too much force I can assure you I wasn’t. After the first one broke I was extra careful to use the pressure needed to disengage the latch. So this could leave you unexpectedly not having your door latch able. In a house with several people like older kids who might break it while using it appropriately and not think they need to tell someone or safeguard the contents this could be dangerous. In other words you cannot count on this product to do it’s simple job. Some of the latches, after breaking, left a slightly sharp broken part on the door, and/or a toddler-swallowable (or dog-chewable) sized broken latch piece on the floor. Granted it would probably break while an adult was using it, but imagine if it broke while someone was in a hurry and didn’t think to warn a parent or pick up the broken piece. My guess is that this is a production fail, like wrong/inferior type of plastic or incorrectly handled in manufacturing so it more brittle than it should be. Wouldn’t surprise me if some rims or batches were ok and others were not. Again, for a child safety product especially one might expect consistent quality when there are actual safety implications.I would AVOID unless/until the manufacturer discloses they messed up but corrected the problem. I gave it 2 stars because I think the design overall is good, but something is causing it to fail on use
