Works great!
I bought it to keep the cat out of our garbage can. Installation was easy and itâs stayed on our metal garbage bin no problem. Successfully keeping our cat from getting into the garbage and ending up sick.

Great lock, bought it keep my dog out of our freezer. You have to pinch either side so somebody with dexterity issues may not be able to use it easily. This is my second one(two different freezers) and weâve had no issues.
Great option for fridge and freezer.
Works well on French door fridge and drawer freezer. Keeps the kids from opening the doors and pulling stuff out.

Overall easy application, no issues with the adhesive. Its on our garage and the lid gets soaked weekly and still have yet to have the adhesive fail after months. However the rubber piece that you touch to unlock/ open it is very porous so no matter how much i clean it it still looks dirty and now the rubber is starting to breakdown from all the scrubbing. But will say it has tricked every adult whos come into contact with it so definitely stays true to the trick button!
Wife and Child Proof!
The decoy button works well against every member in my family young and old. I would definitely recommend installing it tight so that the strap cannot be pulled on.
Amazing toilet lock!
My 1 year old loves to put everything and anything in the toilet so I brought this and was a bit sceptical about it because itâs not 3m adhesive and with it not being 3m, it definitely seems like it is! I havenât seen her give anything else a bath since! Itâs works very well on the porcelain and plastic. Itâs really simple to put on and unlock and not a struggle like other locks. Iâm definitely getting another one once she figures out the fridge door. Highly recommend this product and it looks so much better than the bulky toilet locks too!
Works Great to Keep Door Closed
I did not purchase this item to keep children out. I purchased it to keep the freezer door in the closed position and it works like a charm. I usually have to double-check to ensure that the freezer door portion of our refrigerator is closed properly because the freezer is usually packed to the rim. This did the trick. No need to check whether the door is closed properly or not ever again.
Not very sticky
Easy to use, but does not stick well for a fridge, my toddler can just pull hard enough to open the fridge and it comes off. Iâm sure you could glue it down better on your own and it be fine but be prepared you may have to do that.
We own a few of Safety 1st’s products and this is our most recent purchase. This one, like the others, is fantastic. It’s simple, the adhesive is extremely (and surprisingly) strong, and it just works.
Works well on fridge. Having a very inquisitive toddler, this worked well. Our now 3 year old still canât open it, but our 5 year old can use it, which is fine as she knows to ask and to close the fridge after!Has worked well and is easy to install.Has stood up well to multiple uses daily.
Suddenly, our RV door started coming open when turning corners in the rv. This lock worked well to keep it closed. It was easy to install and has worked every time so far.
After trying three different kinds of Child proof locks only to be unable to open them as an adult and therefore not use them to another lot that as I put them on the two year old came behind me and undid them to the inability of the two year old to open the Safety 1st Outsmart locks to the ease of use as adults and therefore more compliance on behalf of the adults to use them is well worth the added expense.
Easy to use and setup – the glue seems to be very strong after a few weeks of use. False button successfully fooled my 30 year old partner haha
