It works very well. It’s slightly difficult even for the adults who visit to open my doors. I have these all over my house and when I tell you that they have saved my toddler from running away, I mean it.I keep them on all the doors bc he’s almost 3 and literally cannot be trusted alone for 30 seconds bc he will somehow get into something and he is a climber so he drives me crazy. I even bought some for my friends house bc he goes out the front door by himself.I even have these on the inside of our bedroom so he doesn’t go out wandering in the middle of the night. Honest to god these things are the greatest thing invented. Obviously they only work on the round doorknobs but they work on lots of different sizes. I’ve become a master at taking them off so just know that the easiest way to do that is to forcibly push it down closest to the door and then turn the knob and push the other side of it and then it will come off. My toddler has never been able to remove them and he has taken outlets off the wall with screwdrivers and even handles off my cabinets trust me when I tell you it’s hard to get them off. Even my handyman couldn’t change my front door lock bc he couldn’t figure it out. It’s easy to open the door though because you just squeeze it like normal through the openings. The plastic is lightweight but super sturdy and I feel like they are almost glow in the dark. Def get these if you have babies
