ScratchSleeves can be used day or night. They can worn over or under regular clothing although for older children and more independent toddlers we recommend wearing ScratchSleeves under a t-shirt, pyjama or strapped top (such as dungarees or pinafores) to ensure that they are difficult for the child to remove without help. Designed for babies, toddlers and children with eczema but equally effective in combating scratching at other skin irritations, including chicken pox and post surgical healing, hair-pulling, thumb-sucking, protecting feeding-tubes, and much more. Machine washable at 40 degrees using non-biological detergent. Can be tumble-dried. Exactly what I needed for thumb sucking at night.
Perfect for my 2 year old. Hasn’t sucked his thumb at night in two months. Still does during the day but that’s another battle. Stays on all night and he now wants to wear it to sleep.
This helps stop with the scratching, but also helps make a barrier so we can put steroid ointment on the hands that donât get wiped onto the face. Win, win!
Our little toddler has eczema and weâve barely been sleeping because of it. Weâve tried wrapping his hands and putting socks to avoid itching but he ends up taking them off during the night and we have to keep putting them back on.We just tried these last night and will be ordered an extra one to have a few. They are so helpful! Fit great. The best part is he wasnât able to take them off and went back to bed after realizing he couldnât itch. Truly a life saver! We even need these in the car for trips so he doesnât itch while weâre driving.A nice touch is the fabric that wraps the hands are a silky soft satin type. My daughter has severe eczema. Her hands and wrists were always in terrible shape. I happened to stumble upon these one day, and decided to give them a try. Not only did they prevent her from scratching obsessively, they also allowed us to apply her steroid cream over-night. Her skin was in better shape within a week of using them. I highly recommend them to anyone that has a child battling eczema.
My 16 month old son had a surgery on his face and was scratching his wound when he was in bed. I found these scratch sleeves and thought Iâd give it a try. They worked miraculously! I didnât think my son would like putting it on, but itâs now become a part of his routine before naps/bed. I bought the 2t/3t because it was in stock and I was desperate- this was too big for my 16mo, but they still worked. He can, however, get it off if he tries hard enough. I loved this product! It gave me peace of mind when he was in bed and I wasnât watching him, that he wouldnât be able to scratch his wound.
I expected an unhappy child when I brought out the ScratchSleeves at bed time, I was relieved when he thought they were funny. My child has eczema and will scratch throughout the night. First use, he slept so well over night and no broken skin in the morning. I just ordered another. Sizing is key. Donât size up. I originally wanted the sleeves with front closure but did not have time to wait for delivery.
