Provides protection
This was an easy installation. Unlike other security bars, it is adjustable to fit a smaller opening. It fits well and the security tab creates an extra step to lift the bar to enable the patio door to be opened. It seems to be well built and we feel more secure with it in place.

Good security bar for sliding glass doors
It installed fairly easily but I did make one mistake which I was able to correct in my workshop. Iâm not sure that it is as sturdy as it should be but it should work well.

Assembly flimsy, retention nothing more than a dimple in the metal, drilling required. not much to it.
This security bar works well and will fit both small and large doors.
After installing on a small door, as I did; there will be extension pieces left over to fit a larger door. This is a waste of material and I hope the manufacturer can offer two separate size bars to fit the different sized doors.
Easy to break with a little force but good if you adapt it.
The fact that it’s variable in length & the weak clip mean that if you exert a reasonable amount of force then you can push it open.However, as I don’t need a variable length & because it’s made of steep, I was able to set it to the correct/desired length & then drill a hole in the shaft & insert a large self-taping metal screw. This fixes the length & means that it’s very solid & secure.So if you want something that’s variable & child proof this is probably okay but if you want a strong security bar to stop intruders then this only works if you adapt it by drilling & fixing the length.

Sliding doors are not known for high quality locks and sometimes, as in our development, some keys fit many doors. Easy to install and use. Great break-in deterrent!
Works great on smaller door. I installed one on a friends door and it was larger and needed the extension and i think thats the weak point. Thin material. but works .
