My 6 year old has blisters on his fingers and the neck of his shirts would be stretched due to him needing something in his mouth. I purchased these because I saw someone advertised it on TikTok, and I must say within 2 weeks I have seen a change in his skin on his fingers and no more shirt biting.
These provide great sensory input for “chewers.” However, if your child really chews hard, they will need something stronger. One student I have has used it for months with no problem, however another student I have that I use these with chews through it and breaks pieces off within days. The ridges give extra sensory input and the child can keep it in the side of their mouth or “suck” on it rather than a thumb.
