These are good! they do exactly what they’re supposed to do, and all of the promises in the product description are fulfilled.This set of silicone food storage containers is an interesting concept. I’m using it for leftover mostly- liquid items, such as soups or juices or other liquids that would be in danger of spilling if I had it in a longer, flatter container. One interesting attribute is that when not in use, you can smash these containers down into practically no space at all. That’s really good if you have limited cabinet space and don’t have anything to put in them right at the moment.One thing that caused me to hesitate ordering these is that in the past, silicone containers I have purchased have an odd or unusual odor. I did not detect that in these products, and there have been no transferred odors to the food that I stored in them. The first thing I did when they arrived was throw them in the dishwasher, and they came out perfectly, with no warping or problems, even on the the hottest cycle. NOTE that the product information states that these are refrigerator safe, hand wash only, dishwasher safe. I don’t really know what that means, but I do know that I don’t like products that are not dishwasher safe because it’s just too much trouble to hand wash items like this. These passed that test with flying colors.The lids went on easily and it’s really nice to have the little bale on top to carry them with. The lids did not leak.Finally, let me just comment on the color. I got the black set, but I wish I had been offered the white set. It wasn’t available at the time. I’m just not a person who likes dark and and obscured things. However I’m sure that both products work equally well – and to be sure, these dark ones have a clear window that you can look through and tell exactly what’s inside – and if I decide to get some more of these, which I very likely will, I’ll get the white ones.These containers are currently selling for about $50 on Amazon. Honestly that seems like quite a bit to me in order for that price to be worthwhile, they’re going to have to be very sturdy and last a very long time. I actually have high hopes for that based on what I’ve seen so far.
The lids fit on the container oddly and im never sure if i have a good seal or not. they are made from a soft silicone and it seems like you didn’t get them on correctly most of the time but so far the food I’ve placed in them hasn’t gone bad.
These jars are awesome. They have good capacity, are airtight, and dishwasher safe. You can pour hot liquids and food into them if needed, or use them to reheat the contents in the microwave directly. They are also very attractive and add a cool factor to your countertop.The only things about them that you need to keep in mind is that being flexible, it is easy to squeeze or collapse them, so be aware of this when trying to screw on the cap, as because the silicone is not slick, the caps can require a bit of torquing to get on, so go slower when screwing the cap on if feeling resistance and try to hold the jar towards the top with your other hand instead of the middle. I do not see this as a negative as it is the nature of the materials themselves.The full price for these is a bit much, but Amazon puts them on sale for a good price, especially if there is a coupon (currently on sale for $36 with a 30% off coupon) which in my opinion is a great price for what you are getting. I highly recommend getting a set or two of these.
I love that I can now save space with these food containers when it comes to my cabinets and drawers in the kitchen. They are quite sturdy and easy to clean and store away. They have come in handy when traveling with snacks and more so when it comes to keeping the contents inside safe from spilling. These storage containers are microwave safe and BPA Free which is important when looking for kitchen ware of any kind. My favorite thing about them is that you can fold them them down when not in use.
These silicone storage containers are cute and very versatile. They can be used to store ANYTHING, including liquids with no spilling. The walls are thick yet flexible and the lids screw on nice and tight. They are super easy to wash since nothing sticks to them and they are easy to store away when they are not in use. I love the color and that they have a handle, making them easy to carry around. I have no complaints so far.
