Nice but not perfect
The mat is thin but still thick enough for most applications. The problem is that it comes folded up in a neet little package. I’ve had it for a few weeks and all the folding creases are still there and it looks terrible. Why not charge another 50 cents and roll the stupid thing up?
Nice Size
Fits my sewing area perfectly and only a slight smell.*Update – my daughter (she’s 12) used it while painting with acrylics. Two days later I washed it, and it only took a couple minutes to get all the paint off. Yay!
Great covering for arts and crafts
It works better than expected – we are using it as a placemat for our little one. Keeps the spills controllable and she knows that placemat is her table spot. Colourful and useful.
replaces my noisy chopping blocks
I could never find the perfect chopping block: the wood-like ones make noise when you chop veggies. The synthetic ones are not flexible, not easy to clean and somewhat noisy as well. These protectors are just wonderful: you can slice and chop on them, they are heat resistant so you can take a roast from the oven to the counter without fearing for your quartz countertop. They are flexible: you can pour your chopped food right into the pot or skillet. When you’re through, you wipe them clean with soap, roll them and put them away till the next time you need one or more at prep time.
Usable but very thin
I purchased this food grade matt to put under my toaster in my pantry. It is a little on the thin side so I am not sure how long it will last. But does the trick for now.
