The Similac Slow Flow Nipple is a latex free, single hole nipple designed to provide a more controlled flow rate during infant feeding.

Same as they use in hospitals
This particular nipple flow size is difficult to find in stores, and it’s the same one I had when I was in the hospital after my son was born. They offer a slower flow which is important for babies with reflux or tongue ties, and other nipples that claim they are slow flow, aren’t.
Work well if you use the ready-to-go formula
These work well if you have a messy baby and you’re using the ready-to-go formula. The worst part is that between the brands, they won’t standardize on the threading… it’s annoying if you want to try different formulas as you have to buy that brands nipples.
Sealing!!!
Product sealing is imperfect, milk spilled couple of time. I gotta pay extra attention each time I use the cap. Mothers with new born need the least to worry about, as they are overwhelmed:(
Very good, but very expensive
They recommand to use only for one time, very expensive
We found these to be our preferred nipples for our newborn. We first tried these after going to a Lactation Consult appointment. Baby is now over 1 month old.Our baby seems to drink from any nipple. We also tried the Breastflow stage 1 and stage 2 slow-flow nipples and the Medela Calma nipple. the Breastflow was leaky. The Calma was ok — it has a higher learning curve for both parent and baby than the other nipples; I got our baby to use it, but my partner found it too complicated to try. The Calma also leaked more than these Similac Slow Flow Nipples.PROS: -They fit the Medela bottles. Great if you are pumping & using Medela. -They are not complicated (only a ring and a nipple). -They are slow flow enough for a newborn. However, if you are looking for something that does not drip, this is NOT it. I like that it can drip a little because then I can easily drip a drop or two onto my wrist to check the temp of the milk; with other slow-flow nipples, you have to actively express milk from the nipple. -Price is good.CONS: Supposedly these are for single-use only. We have been re-using without any issues; since we plan to use it mainly during the young infant/newborn stage, the 10-pack should last us until we transition to higher-flow nipples.
These can get a bit Pricey but itâs the only one my daughter likes. Iâve tried the Dr. Brown & Madela nipples and we keep on going back to these. They do come with an odd smell. These fit perfect on the Madela baby bottles, both the 5oz and 8oz
Our baby was born prematurely and these were the nipples they were using at the hospital. When we brought him home, the level 1 nipples we tried were far too fast (he couldnât keep the milk down). I was so happy to have found these on Amazon. We reused them over and over again until they eventually started to leak. We never went through the whole pack and graduated him to level 1 nipples at 4 months, which heâs doing perfectly fine with now! I highly recommend these if you need something thatâs slower and easier to transition. Theyâre easy to wash (just like any other nipple) and they fit Medela Bottles. (Note: did not fit Dr. Browns anti-colic bottles with the straws down the middle).
will never use their formula, but these are the only nipples my newborn will use! truely slow flow, unlike some other products that claim to be and are not. definatly a good choice, i can see why hospitals use them.
These are the best nipples for newborns. I started when my LO was less than a month. After trying each and every brand she finally liked these. Although many companies claim that their slow flow or new born nipples are controlled by the babies but it’s not true. Fill water in them and they will flow without anyone pressure. These were closest to the non-dripping nipples and was very easy for the infant. Although silicon nipples are safer but they are too hard for infants. These are very soft and even though it says one time use only, I have been using them for more then three weeks. I sterilize them and before giving to the baby make sure they are not ruptured or anything. Another thing they only fit medela bottles. I got lucky that I had medela and it was a perfect fit. I wish they were more easily available and were includes as prime so that I won’t have to pay shipping. Overall, great product !!!
