Perfect for the media console
Needed a way to keep the media center doors secured from little hands. It is easy to install and nearly invisible from the outside of the door. If needed there are predrilled holes in the plates for screws (not included) but the 3M double sided tape is strong. The lock holds for a normal pull, I am pretty sure if you really put all your strength into it you can get it open. But this is to deter little ones not adults.

We installed these in June of this year. They work great! We have had no issues. Sometimes they wonât lock but all you have to do is push in the corner where the lock is and that usually does the trick. We have them in our kitchen and our bathroom. My daughter has yet to get into the cabinets with these locks. She will sometimes yank on the cabinet handle to try to open it. She hasnât been able to pull the cabinet open so theyâre pretty sturdy. They installed very easily and fit our cabinets fine.
Weâve found these locks to be a great option for kitchen and bathroom cabinets as well as furniture. After installing the first couple it was easy and quick to install the others. If you pay attention as you do it they install really well and have zero issues. The three things to make sure you do correctly are place the lock far enough away from any magnetic closures in your drawer or cabinet so that wonât affect it, make sure itâs aligned properly with the height and depth, and prep the surface beforehand (and let it dry completely). We love that our baby canât pinch his fingers in any doors or drawersâ gaps as he attempts to get them open (and he tries very hard!), and also that the locks can be deactivated when the baby isnât around. Thatâs been a really great feature for extended family as well. Grandparents can install them but only activate them when we come to visit, so they donât have to deal with childproofed kitchen cabinets all the time.The locks removed well without any damage to the cabinets in our rental home when we moved recently, but we didnât have any issues with them coming off when our baby pulled on the cabinets, even though heâs very strong for his age and size.The company was also extremely quick and helpful when I reached out with an inquiry about replacement adhesive strips for the backs. I was very impressed, especially after some less than helpful interactions with other companies whose products had issues recently. I will continue to recommend these locks from this brand to all my friends and relatives with little ones.
I bought these and installed these in my grandparents’ house, in the drawers/cabinets where my grandfather with dementia was going in the middle of the night and pulling things out and creating a mess. My grandmother was desperate, and frankly they worked reasonably well–definitely better/easier to install for cabinets than for drawers, and more recommended for newer furniture rather than thick antique wood bureaus, but the magnet is strong and generally functioned well!My grandfather has since passed, but my grandmother still keeps the ones in the bathroom activated (you can turn the locks on and off through a switch). She has all the expensive medical equipment for her colostomy bag there, and it gives her a sense of privacy to have it locked away from prying eyes.

These magnetic child locks surpassed my expectations. They are secure and easy to use. Installation was an absolute breeze. They are strong and leave your cabinetry undamaged with 3m adhesive, but you also have the option to screw in locks for extra security.I love the lock/unlock feature with a simple switch of the lock. (See video)Their customer service is fantastic. A couple of my locks were becoming a bit loose because of long term use and extreme humidity. Customer service resolved everything very quickly, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the assistance I received. Will be ordering again if I find myself in need of more child locks, which is very likely with my toddler finding more cabinets to get into ð .
