I got the smallest version of this pool for my mini dachshund and he absolutely loves it, he is my water loving dog. The sides at only 8 inches tall are perfect for him to be able to get in and out on his own. The bottom surface is non slip and the sides stand up perfectly, even without water. It’s a bit cold here yet where we live to fill it up and use outside, but we certainly are looking forward to enjoying this little pool. It is well made and I love the drain feature and that this folds up compactly. I was able to get it back in its original plastic bag that it arrived in to store it until we can use it this summer. So much better than those slippery bottom hard plastic pools that are difficult to store when not in use. This also comes with two patches for repairs.
These little pools are just amazing. I use mine for our ducks. It is an above ground pond for them and they love it. The 12â depth is perfect and it holds together fine even when filling to the rim. The panels are strong and the bottom is thick. It arrived in a tiny box. So, it is definitely compact-able. My little nitpick is the drain cap. It has little smooth grooves on it, but is still very difficult to unscrew when full. Adding something with more grip to it would really help.
Obviously with the cold weather just leaving, I haven’t used this yet. My intention is not for my dogs, but for my grandkids, the younger ones anyway. We have an inground pool that can be dangerous with little ones wandering around. We do have a wrought iron fence around our pool,, but the kids see it and want to swim, so I thought this would be great for them set up on the other side of the fence to ward off their temptation to try to get to the big pool!This pool seems well constructed and will be easy to fill, empty and store away.I will update this review if there is anything negative that happens once we set it up!
SLOOSH Foldable Dog Kiddie PoolI got this to wash my lab in, it will work, but it is slightly undersized, if you have a dog larger than 45 pounds, I’d suggest getting one of the larger sizes. It is well made, and folds up compact for storage. The drain plug in the bottom of one of the side panels makes it very convenient to empty after use, something you don’t get with those plastic kiddie pools from the dollar store.
