Reviews

  1. Perfect for Golden retrievers!
I recently purchased the Sminiker Dog Clippers Grooming Kit and I couldn’t be happier with my purchase. This kit is perfect for grooming my dogs at home. The clippers are cordless and rechargeable, so I don’t have to worry about finding an outlet or getting tangled in cords. The clippers are also very quiet, which is great for dogs that are afraid of loud noises. The kit comes with a variety of different blade attachments, which makes it easy to adjust to different hair lengths and types. The blades are sharp and cut through hair easily, without pulling or snagging. I also appreciate that the clippers are lightweight and easy to handle.Overall, I would highly recommend the Sminiker Dog Clippers Grooming Kit to anyone looking for a reliable and easy-to-use grooming kit for their pets. It’s affordable, efficient, and has everything you need to keep your pets looking their best.

  2. Quiet, Doesn’t scare puppy
I got these clippers as a replacement set when my old ones from a different brand had become dull. The old clippers terrified my standard poodle puppy as we tried to shave his face. These clippers are so much quieter, he was immediately not afraid of the noise and we were able to safely shave his face and paws. The clippers themselves are very comfortable to hold and work very nicely on my poodle’s curls. He’s 3 months old and his coat is still quite soft.I use the 1.4mm setting on his face, feet and sanitary areas. White poodles are known for getting clipper irritation when you shave short but on this setting I haven’t noticed an issue on my parti poodle’s feet which are mostly white.Overall I think you can’t go wrong with these clippers, they’re really nice especially for the price.

  3. Good beginner tools
The clippers aren’t the sharpest but it’s a good tool for little things like shaving paw pads and touch ups. Wouldn’t really recommend them for full body shaves. It also does catch on fur so it’s a bit uncomfortable for the pup. It’s a good first cheap set to try practice until you get a better one

  4. lousy scissors but clipper seems fine so far
The clipper gets 5 stars! Though I’ve only used it once and don’t know if it will dull as quickly as the scissors did. After about three uses both of the scissors began to pull hair instead of cutting through it. The scissors with the teeth now have to be pressed together with extra strength and only the last inch or so closest to the handle are sharp enough to cut the hair. The straight scissors are getting dull near the tip and the same inching back is happening. I’m very disappointed they dulled so quickly. The clipper has started nice and sharp like the scissors did and hopefully will keep it’s edge longer. If they get dull my star rating will drop to one! I really like the the clipper. It’s quiet, easy to hold and after TWO hours was still cool against my dog’s skin. (I’m a 58 yr old woman with medium sized hands). I discovered the angle I use makes a big difference in how well it clips the hair. I would say about a 25 degree angle (yes, quite flat) works best for my Coton de Tulear.November 2019 – the clippers are still going strong. Sharp, cool and quiet. I love them.

  5. Amazing product
This is THE BEST animal clippers set I have ever come across and it works so well! I’m super happy with this and it isn’t super expensive which is awesome 🙂

  6. Pretty good for the price.
My previous clippers were made by Wahl, unfortunately they broke and I didn’t want to spend another $75 to replace. These clippers are good, they are way quieter than my Wahl clippers, they also didn’t seem to get hot. Battery lasts about 1 hour. They are not great for long hair though. My shih-tzu mixes hair was about 3 inches long, I would do one swipe, have to remove the length guide, clean it, do another swipe. The scissors work great, really sharp. For the price, it’s a good set.

  7. Not good for Poodles
This groomer was a really nice little find, not loud, but could not even cut any hair on my dog. This was touted as a great clipper for poodles, I cannot disagree more. Bought another heavier duty one and have had zero issues.

  8. Love
Been using this for quite a while I’m using it on humans and dogs cats like very reliable very resistant and very lovely noise is very minimal

  9. Package arrived on time and in great shape. All pieces were there, in good shape, and functional. The clipper was even charged, but I plugged it in while I set up my grooming station outside.I have never cut hair on anything, including myself. Neither human nor animal. I watched a couple of YouTube videos. That was the extent of my training. My dog is little, a Malti-poo mix, and rather skittish. She’s never liked going to the groomer. But she was in desperate need of a haircut and the warm weather (soon to be hot) made it imperative. The reviews on this set seemed good…Well, let me just say these clippers worked great! They were easy to maneuver around her little body, and in about 25 minutes, she was trimmed and neat! I used mainly the clippers and a bit of scissors. (I did order a set of scissors and they arrive in a few days for our next beauty appointment!) No cries of pain from man nor beast, no blood, and a ton of hair floating around in the air. Now, don’t get me wrong, this is no dog show level grooming. I see spots I could have done better with. But she is so much happier to have all that hair gone, my wife thinks I’m a genius (of course!), the kids were floored by how cute she looks now, and we can go for our Covid walks without me feeling ashamed my dog looks so ratty, and I don’t have to worry about her overheating. All in all, a great product that feels solid in the hand, is quiet enough a skittish dog didn’t mind them at all, and very easy to operate. It’s already paid for itself! And I know I can keep her hair short all summer long without it costing a day of my time and an arm and a leg of money! A win for all!

  10. Muy buena, van tres veces que les corto el pelo a mis gatas y sigue con filo la máquina espero dure más

  11. It works well and is quite all good

  12. I am blown away by these clippers. I bought them a few years ago for my cat and we’ve used them every summer to shave her and throughout the year for maintenance around her butt as she is long haired. We now have an 80 lb Golden Retriever puppy, this is his first summer and it’s been so hot and humid. I know their dual coats are intended to protect them from heat but he’s an indoor dog and when he is outside we have plenty of shade and he is always in the pool. I tried to make an appointment with the groomer and they were booked out for the remainder of the year. I decided to shave him myself. I didn’t think these would be powerful enough but figured I’d give it a try. They actually worked really well. I had to stop and let it recharge a few times but it shaved his dual coat like butter. They are so quiet so he wasn’t phased by the clippers and laid there enjoying the pampering. I highly recommend these clippers.

  13. I have an 11-month-old giant schnauzer who I groom every 6 – 8 weeks, so I’ve used this clipper several times. It does a good job for the price. In terms of its noise level, it sounds about the same as the hair clippers and electric shaver I use for myself, so I wouldn’t say it’s super-quiet, but it’s not loud like a lawn mower. The battery life on a full charge is OK. It lasts about 30 minutes, so I typically plug it into an extension cord for most of my grooming time. Most importantly, it cuts the hair pretty well, but it doesn’t do it fast, and herein is my negative feedback. It typically requires 2, 3, or 4 passes over the same area to get all the hair cut to length, and with a large dog, that time adds up. Also, the cutting blade snags occasionally (it doesn’t hurt the dog), and it pulls the blade out of alignment ever-so slightly, but it’s enough that it won’t cut until I shove on the blade back into its proper position. But when your dog is eager to be finished, pausing 4 or 5 times for several seconds becomes very irritating. All in all, it’s a decent trimmer, and it’s gotten me by for the first year of grooming. It’s paid for itself 10 times over at least, but I think I’ll upgrade to a nicer model now that my pup isn’t a little pup any more.
