Really impressed
Our friends had one of these at the park to use as a shade, and we liked it so much we bought one too. It’s big enough for my family of four, but packs down well (like an oversized umbrella). Putting it up and taking it down is simple and only takes a minute. It was really tested when we used it at the beach on a windy day. The anchors and screw-in pole kept it firmly in place. Recommended.

This is my second one as my daughter claim my first one lol. These are great in the winter sitting around the fire as the temperature inside is about 10 degrees warmer than the outside air (live in cold climate). As a group we bough one each and put them around the firepit to shelter the wind and create a tent like experience.

Ripped and damaged straight from the box!
Opened it today as my Mother’s Day gift and the screen has 2 holes in it and the top had a black burn spot/hole. Such a disappointment ð- not recommended as this was straight out of the “factory” packaging and never even saw the grass!
Great umbrella, had one previously and this XL is even better
I use it mostly when working doing landscaping. If I have to be in one spot for a while I put this up and it helps greatly. I had a regular sized one previously for almost 10 years. Used it so much I wore the top out. This one is even bigger and I love it. Works great in sun and rain. Can fit 2 people comfortably with chairs as well.

Used it once so far. Did what it’s supposed to. Was slightly breezy and it was ok. Used large ziploc bag filled with sand from the beach and placed them in the side pockets to hold down the side flaps; makes it easy to clean up. Tied off a few spots as a precaution. Vents allowed for air flow. Definitely turned some heads on the beach…in a good way. Be warned, even when packed up it is still pretty long. Felt like carrying a large sword on my back. Opening it does take some doing owing to the length and weight. Once open and set up its fantastic.I did not use it standing upright like a traditional beach umbrella so I cannot review that option.

La sombrilla es de muy buena calidad, resiste bien el viento fuerte y las ventanitas que trae ayudan para que no se vuele cuando se pone rudo el viento. Ya no vamos a la Playa sin ella , la AMAMOS ! La puedes usar de varios formas y si tamaño es enorme ideal para familias de 3-5 personas con niñosSolo me gustarÃa que viniera con una funda más resistente pues con el uso se empieza. this is a very well designed and functional unbrella/tent. My beach chairs are high and yet I can sit in them under this umbrella when it is set up as a tent. the fact that it can be a tent or an umbrella is useful. If there is wind, you can use the tent stakes for extra support.Also, the designers included a piece that prevents the umbrella from flipping inside out in strong wind. Last, they included a metal bar on the lower piece that makes it easy to rotate the base deep into the ground.The only con I can think of is that the top is plastic and looks like plastic. Most of the Tommy Bahamas use plastic that looks like canvas.
Purchased a blue one: I opened it the first time I went to the beach. Several of the metal bars that are supposed to provide the structure for the umbrella were bent and the umbrella wouldnât open completely. Sent it back.Purchased a red one: Once again, I opened it when I got to the beach. This time the fabric was completely detached from the top of the umbrella structure. It was very easy to see that the quality of the sewing and thread was very poor. This time I didnât even bother opening it and took it right back to the car and sat in the sun all day.I really wanted to like this umbrella. It has a very clever design and would be perfect for the beach. Unfortunately, I canât justify buying another umbrella of such poor quality. I would gladly pay twice as much for this design if someone made a stronger/more durable version of it. However, I canât find any other companies that make it. They must have a patent. Itâs a shame.I, honestly, canât believe this umbrella has such high reviews when most of the negative ones reference the poor quality.
