I’m comparing this stool with the ikea nilserik stool. I was using the ikea one for a few months, and wound up buying a regular office chair because, while I did like that I was sitting up straighter, the cushion wasn’t comfortable to sit on for 8+ hours a day, 7 days a week. While I do like the office chair I replaced it with, my back started acting up again, and I went back to the ikea one. When I saw this option from Ergoffile, I wanted to give it a try and I’m glad I did. The cushion is more comfortable than the ikea one, still not ‘office chair’ comfy, but I can sit for longer periods with the Ergoffile stool over the ikea stool. Best feature is the base that allows me to tilt my stool forward or backwards while I’m perched on top. The ikea option does allow the same tilting, but the base isn’t as rounded on the bottom as the ergoffile stool does. So basically, it’s much easier to tilt around in this one. I’m really fidgety when I’m at my desk so being able to easily tilt back and forth or side to side is very helpful for me and my nerves sometimes.Look wise, they’re almost identical. I do like that the ergoffile comes in fun color options. Love my pink stool!Verdict: Winner. This stool is great for better posture while working, and a perfect option for my adjustable standing desk. While it’s not as comfortable as my office chair, I do prefer sitting on the stool more because I’m moving around more with this one.
