From the brand
Step2Gold founder found inspiration of the design of the Ta-Da Chair from his elderly mom, which he hoped would be able to continue to move freely in her later years.
Upon finding that existing walking sticks with a seat on the market were inadequate to meet this need, he came up with a brand new idea and started sketching the bluepoint for his ideal design for a walking stick with a seat. This eventually became the prototype of the Ta-Da Chair.

Lightweight and sturdy
It is sturdy, opens and closes easily and is light weight. I will be travelling shortly and needed a seat as my back gives out, if I stand in long lineups. This will be perfect to give me the assistance needed. I will follow up post trip.Post trip. Went through security in YYZ and LHR with no issues. Lightweight to carry and was a perfect choice when I needed to sit. Very happy with this purchase.
Opening up new horizons !
Using this clever device gives me the confidence – knowing I can flip open a seat to rest on – to take longer walks … and that’s a game-changer! Have so far used it in the park across the street and on an extended visit to a local art gallery. Not heavy, bears my 180 lbs easily, comfortable, pops open and closed in 2 seconds.
It’s what I needed
Not a hiker’s tool, more like a waddle around the block lifesaver. I need to stop and rest my legs for a few moments, and this does the trick. I’m a heavy man, and this is quite sturdy, The seat flexes to the shape of the bum, and is comfortable. I wish they had rubberized the handle, but that would add weight, and it’s already slightly heavier than a walking stick. The way it unfolds and folds is impressive, instantly and easily. I found the fixed height version correct for me, but you may consider the variable version. The seat is the same, but the handle adjusts. It’s a keeper.

The walking stick/chair is as described. It can be a bit tricky to get on and off of the seat, but it is stable once seated. It could use a spiked tip option for icy conditions.
Best cane ever
We took this cane chair with us to Tahiti, Australia and Honolulu and showed it off to everybody and absolutely everybody was impressed. The thing everybody loved about it was the fact that the chair actually folds around the cane rather than sticking out on the side. I told him it was all magical because the name of the chair is Ta Da.
Works well, easy set up
This is very handy to use when tiring easily. A bit heavy for use as a cane for arthritic hands. I rigged up a padded shoulder strap and wear it when my hands and wrists get sore.

My dad is very happy with this product. Itâs light weight while the construct is solid. Easy to use and takes less space when in walking stick form than other similar products. Price tag is higher but you get what you pay for.

Just received this today and I’m really pleased! I wanted something to take when I am going to have to wait in lines and for walks, as I have lumbar problems but I can walk more if I can just sit for a minute sometimes. I think it’s going to be great. It sets up and folds down in just a moment, and requires no strength to do it. It’s lighter than I even expected, very easy to carry. I am only 5 foot 2, so I bought the shortest one, and it is just the right length for me to use as a cane if I need to. As of now I don’t need to use a cane, although I do use a trekking pole for anything more than a short walk on a totally flat surface, and I think this can replace the trekking pole for medium grade walks. I would probably not take this on very difficult or rocky terrain, but I can’t really do that kind of hiking anymore anyway. To sit on, the Ta-Da Cane is extremely stable. It feels safer than a lot of flimsy folding chairs I have sat on! Obviously it is not quite as stable on grass or an uneven surface but if you are careful you can still do it. I wish it was a little less expensive so more people could have it. The only thing I might add is a wrist strap. There’s a plastic part that comes out of the handle to hang it on the back of your chair, but it’s not comfortable to hang off your wrist. That’s minor though. Overall I’m very pleased; I think it’s going to greatly improve my comfort and my ability to get out and do things… and not let my back pain limit my life.
