Great baby gate! We use it for the bottom of our staircase. It’s very sturdy and easy to install. Would recommend.

It is working great, although the plastic latch could be better quality. Looks like it won’t last as long as restof gate!
How Many Compliments Do You Get On A Baby Gate?
So many compliments, this works great for us and our puppy.I had help putting together so cannot comment on how easy it was, though there was a couple pages of instructions and pictures.There are a couple ways to assemble this. We assembled banister to banister.There is a banister to wall options packaged with this as well.Two months later, not a single issue using this. And my wood banisters don’t look any worse for wear.There are protective pads for the wood and a lot of thought went into the design of this.A+ and two thumbs up!
The only feature is no damage to wood
I assumed this gate wouldnât be the most stable as itâs not being mounted to the wall but thought it would be better than pressure gates. Itâs visually pleasing but nothing more than junk. 4 little straps definitely wonât keep the gate secure if my large dog tries to put body weight on it or against it. In order to lock or unlock, you must lift the gate up first and maneuver accurately into or out of the lock. Itâs not the a simple swing and close or open. I really wanted to like it as I need something for the top of my stairs but this is not it.

Have purchased 4 of these and couldn’t be happier. Have had them for over 2 years and are working just like new. Had to make minor tension adjustments with constant use over time but it’s easy to do. Simple and easy install. Just ordered another 2 for my inlaws house. Highly recommended.

Latch seems risky, easy to break, or open
The metal gate is very solid, the wall and banister screw on attachment methods are very sturdy. The banister strap on (no need to screw) is pretty good too. However, the latch that holds the gate closed and keeps your baby/child safe seems small and breakable. The latch mechanism is a plastic rod a bit bigger than the size of the clicker button on the top of a pen. The slide to open part of the latch that opens the gate is very simple to operate, such that I assume we will need a different gate, as tall children could open it themselves. The gate is very sturdy, however the latch is a let down.
Not suitable for post sizes larger than 4.5 x 4.5.
Unfortunately I can’t give this five Stars as the webbed strapping that came with the gate to attach to the posts is not long enough for my post bases which are 6 x 6. I had to buy a roll of 1/2 strapping in order to install it. Once installed it works great!
Tried several solutions to keep my dogs contained within my patios to no avail. These are sturdy, easy to open/close, and lock in place. They also look good with my wrought iron railing. I secured them at the bottom of my deck stairs. Most importantly, they secure in place to my wrought iron rails without having to drill or otherwise modify my deck railing. The kit comes with hardware that solves most installation challenges.
It took some real effort to get this installed. The instruction manual is a joke. We got one that had been returned and it made sense that someone would give up on this. BUT it works great, looks decent and Iâm so happy we didnât have to drill into the banister!!
Product is great for keeping dogs off the stairs. Good quality, easy installation, easy to operate.
The gate itself works great, but there were no instructions and a bracket was missing from the box. We didnât end up needing the bracket, so the gate is functional. But it was very difficult to figure out how to install it just based off the picture on the box.
Very awesome quality on these gates and easy installation. They are heavy, so be aware when you mount.My older child can easily use them as needed to go up and down stairs, but my smaller ones stay safe.
