This is a Tap Sensor Cat Lamp with 7 Colors, Silicone Baby Night Light, Led Rechargeable Child Night Light with Remote Control, Relaxing Kids Kitty Lamp. I have wanted one of these for a long time and I am not disappointed, this is a very well made silicone cat lamp. It is larger than many I have seen on the market, yet it is still small enough to sit on a nightstand. This cat lamp is USB chargeable and does not require batteries. It has a built-in automatic 2 hour timer so it will shut off without needing to be set. It comes with a remote control that allows you to choose between seven different colored lights or a pure Warm White light. There is a dimmer switch and also this light can be blinking as an option as well. It’s very well made super soft silicone with no sharp edges or loose pieces. Even the face is painted on. This will be appropriate for a kid’s room as it is a soft easy to use safe lamp. It’s really cute it has a sweet little cat face and the appropriate little ears. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a comforting night light that is super cute and safe for your child’s room.
Not great value
This item arrived quickly and was packaged in a nice cardboard box which included a USB-A charging cable.PROS:-Easy to set up.-The lamp is indeed cute.-The remote works well enough and is intuitive to use.-I like the light quality.CONS-The outer shell is literally just a think piece of silicone like a thick balloon. It does not hold its shape if you apply any pressure. This surprised me because I own other similar tap lamps and they all have hard casings.-While you can use the touch function to turn the lights on and off, you need to use the remote to have access to brightness level and select a specific LED colour. Without using the remote control, the light simply cycles endlessly through the different colours which I persoanally find annoying.-The touch function is not very sensitive and you similarly have to access the sensor underneath to register touches accurately which means picking up the cat or tilting it to the side. Kind of defeats the purpose of having a touch lamp.-The only way to charge the lamp is to plug in a a USB-A cable but since the port is directly on the bottom of the lamp, you can’t have the lamp on while charging it, unless you lay the cat down sideways. This seems like a pretty big flaw because I imagine most people would want to leave it plugged in.-No AC adaptor included.Overall, while this lamp is cute and functional, it is not pragmatic and suffers from several important design flaws that need to be addressed such as a more durable/stable outer shell, poor/inconsistent touch controls, and terrible port location for me to recommend considering much better touch lamps can be purchased for just a few dollars more. For the above reason, it is difficult to recommend this product.
