Great brooder kit for chickens and quail.
I love this thing. I love that it can be packed up and put away when not in use so that it doesn’t take up space, unlike solid brooders. The heating plate has worked great for both baby chickens and quail. For the quail, I pile a little extra bedding up where I’m going to place it to give it some extra height because they’re so much smaller than chickens when they first hatch.The brooder box itself is pretty spacious. We had 6 chickens in it and 13 quail. It was large enough that space wasn’t an issue when we put both the chickens and quial outside at 4 weeks old during the summer. Any longer and space would’ve started becoming an issue.

The heating plate light wonât turn back on and we just got our chicks
The heating plate was working and then all of a sudden stopped in late evening (stores are closed now) concerned for our babies and disappointed in the product. Would love to be refunded our money.
Pretty good setup
Easy setup. Brooder is made of tent fabric but that’s plenty good for indoors. The included heat plate is a perfect size. The feeder and waterer are too small so we used our own.
Not a good start
Just went to set this up and one of the top seams is torn. Chicks hatching today, so will have to use it as is.

Works perfect. My baby chickens are growing so fast. The feeder and water container are incredibly small, need to get bigger ones, but everything else is perfect. Easy to clean.
It’s great, but be careful taking it out of the little storage case. It about took out half the family members. It was spring loaded and 3 other family members as it shot out. Lol But it’s perfect for starting chicks. They should be very comfortable in it.
I chose to use this setup for my baby chicks this year, for the last 6/7 weeks and it held up great! Here are my pros and cons with it!Pros:-Airflow on the sides and top helped cut out the smell tremendously-Heat plate worked as intended, and loved being able to raise and lower it based on chicks-The price of this setup really can’t be beat-Fairly spacious until chicks reach that 5-6 week mark-Love that it packs away easily for next year!-Easy to clean, just use a small trash bag and scoop out all the bedding you can, then just use the mat when most of it is out and dump it in the bag. (Some bedding will go under the mat too)Cons:- After the first week or two, you will definitely need to buy a bigger feeder and waterer-When you use the side zipper for running the cord of the heat plate through, somehow every day there would be a small opening in the zipper. So you’d need to rezip it fully so bedding won’t go out.-I had 8 chicks in here until fully grown and it started to get really tight at the end. I wouldn’t put more then 10 in there.-The mat for the inside is definitely not the best as lots of bedding will find ways under it, but it’s not too hard to cleanOverall I would recommend this product to anyone whose planning on 10 or less chicks, especially for the price and functionality of it.
Spacious deep and very soft. I have 4 in it now. It should hold them a good 4-6 weeks. Had a mat for easy cleaning and folds over for easy storage. Has a zipper net on top for when the get bigger so they don’t jump out. I’m using the brooder heat pad I wouldn’t recommend a heat lamp for nylon and it’s not sturdy like a crate. Think of this as like a tent with fiberglass poles inside. But it does the job and my birds are happy in it. Definitely worth the money.
We got this for chicks and ducklings. This worked really well for chicks with some puppy pads. Ducklings not so great due to them hacing a diet that requires lots of water. Definitely needs to be more waterproof no matter what you put in it. It does include a removable pad to make cleaning easier but that’s not waterproof either. I ended up purchasing a small heavy duty tarp to put underneath which solved the problem.Cleaning it before storage was a bit of a chore but a bit of warm water, dish soap, oxygen cleaner, scrub brush and garden hose made it easier. Using a heat lamp was tricky too. We had to use a stand for the lamp to keep it far enough from the nylon to avoid any melting or fire.The removable mesh top is a great feature especially when your birds get older and more hoppy and flappy. Folds back up small in its included zippered bag for storage.This could work very well for smaller pets too.
