My husband looked at me and said, thatâs very nice, but what makes this set worth $130?The answer is two words; organic cotton. Yes it looks nice, and it should at this price, but the point is babies are very sensitive. Allergies and skin conditions can be very distressing for small babies, and therefore also for their parents. You canât afford â literally â to take risks with materials used for infant clothing or bedding. Our own daughter had an allergy to a popular cream intended to prevent nappy rash and suffered awfully until we realised the supposed solution was really the problem. So when selecting a set for a gift (to be given six months from now!) we would not want to take any risks with the quality of the materials.Lecture over; this is a really pretty set which gives your love for your baby physical expression. You can look at this and think you have done all you can to give your little girl a beautiful environment which will do her no harm. In this dangerous world, thatâs a very good thing to be able to say to yourself.One last good feature; the set comes complete with instructions about crib safety in both English and Spanish. New parents would do well to read this.So after my two-word explanation and a reminder of how allergies can hurt a baby, my husband is now fully signed up. But neither he nor I think the box is a true reflection of the quality of the contents. We will be getting a gift box for this.
I ordered this to change up my daughters bedding. It is very beautiful. It gives an antique, feminine look to her nursery. It has soft hues and a beautiful flower pattern. Much to my surprise it also came with two sheets! be careful if you take the tag off of the comforter- mine ripped a little bit.
