Every little boy’s graduation from diapers to the potty is always a very important moment–and one to make both parents and toddlers proud! In The Potty Book, Henry needs to have his diapers changed so he can go out and play. Then mom and dad bring home a big box, and Henry is anxious to open it up and see what’s inside. Is it a rocking chair? A bed for Teddy? No, it’s a potty–which means that it’s time for Henry to graduate from his diapers. This gentle and humorous little story is charmingly illustrated and told in verse. Little boys will enjoy looking at the pictures and having the story read to them. Meanwhile, they’ll start getting the idea that it’s time for them to grow up, exactly like Henry. So that at last, they’ll be able to say–“I’m off the potty!”

Here’s practical guidance for parents who must cope with the many details related to raising children in today’s unusually demanding environment. The perfect gift for the child that is just becoming a BIG BROTHER!
Product Highlights
A pediatric nurse practitioner advises parents about toilet training, beginning with helping a child through early steps and continuing on to independence. She discusses common setbacks and approaches to overcoming difficulties, emphasizing child development and communicating with caregivers, teachers, and grandparents. New in this edition are discussions of common problems in childcare and preschool, working with children with constipation and withholding, bedwetting, patterns in delayed toilet training, and trends in diapers, including “green” issues. In Barron’s top-selling “The Potty Book for Boys,” renowned children’s author Alyssa Satin Capucilli introduced us to Henry as he graduated from diapers to potty. Now, Capucilli returns with a new adventure for Henry; he’s getting a new brother or sister! Having a new baby in the house brings about a range of emotions in an older sibling, from excitement to joy to jealousy. Capucilli and Stott employ straightforward text and eye-catching illustrations to explore all of these feelings through a child’s eyes.

Great book
Cute little book for little ones to learn how to use the potty. My little guy loves it. Great quality, hard cover book
My son loves this and the one for girls as well
Both of the books are very similar almost identical, but he wanted to have both of them. I love the rhymes, he knows the whole book almost by heart and English is his 2nd language.
Great story and illustrations!
Great book! My son started potty training at 2.5 and I got him this book and âtoo big for diapersâ book, they both very different books: this one has much longer story and the other one more like short sentences, so they pretty much like opposites, but my son loved them both so much. He picked up pretty quickly and if he needs to go potty he yells: bye bye pee, bye bye poop (the words from the book), itâs just so funny when he does it. Anyways, really nice book!!
Perfect
Just as advertised.
Good book
This book is great for teaching your toddler about the potty. My son loved it. Iâve read it many times, now I just have to get him to use the potty.
Great book
This book is a great book to read with your toddler when introducing the potty training process. In my case I bought it for our grandson and he was very interested in me reading it to him and I think it eased the transition of going on the potty because he fell right into the training process very quickly. He loves having the book read to him.
So so
Not really helpful but it gave him something to look at while sitting on the throne
Great potty book
My son took to this book immediately! It is very well planned out and written. My little guy wanted to listen to the âHenryâ book 3 times before bed and then had to go have a try on the pottie just like Henry. Excellent book as a helpful tool in potty training and highly recommend.
Simple wording and interesting colourful drawings that keeps the little one hooked.(2year old)Our new favourite book hope it helps him settle in his big boy’s potty and stop crying at the sight of his poop ð
libro perfetto per imparare, arrivato velocemente ed in perfetto stato
My nearly 2 year old loves this book. It has a story about a little boy and his teddy who is just starting out potty training. It is a lovely quality feeling book too with lovely illustrations. It uses the American word ‘diaper’ instead of ‘nappy’ but as my son cant read yet, I just say ‘nappy’!
I was reluctant to buy this book at first but the book was very helpful . It has pictures that show toddler rouine right from waking up to going to bed .. very useful and a subtle way to introduce toddler routine to a boy
