Yes this works amazing, its easy to use and gives accurate readings. which is what i needed. I burn hats and i thought my burner was getting to hot. this was simple to show me what my temperature was and if my heating tool was going out. it also helped me find cold spots where i might need to seal up around the windows an doors.
I needed to test a new oven and I bought this. It works well. At first I thought there was no way to shut it off without removing a battery but then I tried letting it sit for a few minutes and it turned off automatically. The new oven was set to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. The thermometer gauged it at 338. Closer to the bottom of the oven at its hottest spot it was 360z I believe the thermometer is accurate.
