Very convenient and useful
I found this tool very useful and able to satisfy my needs. I primarily wanted it to check how hot disk brakes were getting on my and my wife’s cars. I wanted to be able to differentiate between the temperature during normal usage and the beginnings of any sign of brakes rubbing continuously.For fun I found it useful to check the operation of two pressure cookers by pointing it low down on their sides even though the containers were shiney silver and low emanation. (at 12 to 15 psi above atmospheric i was reading 117 to 122 deg C.
Had Issues but ThermoPro came through
The gun worked perfectly for two months but then the display acted up and didn’t show the complete temperature. ThermoPro promptly replaced the gun when I contacted their customer service.

Works well and it returned the same temp as my needle probe for a glass of water. As Iâm not an expert, it works good for me to give and approximate temp.I have a set of 10yr old meat probes that are still working; so felt comfortable getting the same brand!
Very Handy Very responsive
I like this temperature gun very much. I use it for stove top cooking to measure the temperature of my oil or butter. It responds very quickly. It throws a red beam of light onto the surface of the pan and gives an immediate readout. I can recommend this product.

I have no way to independently test the accuracy of the measurements, but as far as I can tell it’s at least close. I use it for my grill and things cook as expected at the reported temperatures. I have also used it to check the temperature of things in my house and they match the temperature on my HVAC thermostat and interior thermometer. So, it’s reasonably accurate. The functions and buttons are intuitive. Bottom line: I recommend this device and it works fine.

Great product, we use it to check the temps in our reptile tank. Very accurate and easy to use.
I do a lot of outdoor grilling on my gas grill, and also a lot of cooking over an open campfire using cast iron cookware. I have found that having the right temperature really makes it easier to properly cook meat, fish and veggies. I used to use old wives’ tricks to estimate whether the grill or cast iron were at the right temperature, but I guess I am not an old wife yet, and so I bought this gun. So far, it has worked wonderfully! My cooking is turning out neither undercooked nor overcooked. The gun is easy to use, and easy to read. I like the fact that you can get some high/low readings. Good price too! Recommended.
