  1. Great book for mothers and babies
Beautiful book with lots of helpful tips and healthy ideas. Simply and clearly written without adding repetitive or useless information. Baby even loves looking at all the pictures and colors! Many recipes are common sense (fruit + water) but I still enjoy having this book in my kitchen.

  2. Easy and delicioud
Tried a lot of recipes and my princess loves them all

  3. An interesting book.
A very in depth book for purees. A lot of gourmet recipes that will take a bit more time than makingregular 1 or 2 item purees.

  4. A Must for Any New Parent
This book has been a fabulous resource for my family. I find myself struggling with creating healthy, well rounded and baby friendly (non-spicy, low sodium, sugar free etc.) recipes and this book has not let me down. Almost 5 years after I purchased this book for my first baby, it is still relevant and part of my routine as a parent to an infant. Health Canada no longer recommends smooth purees, but these recipes are easy to leave as is. In addition to providing healthy tips to feeding an infant, Karmel has helped give me the courage to include ingredients I would not normally have used into my cooking. This book is a must for any new parent.

  5. I love Annabel karmels line of baby books
I love Annabel karmels line of baby books. I discovered who she is through my baby courses at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto. This book provides super easy and healthy recipes for your little ones first foods. U would definitely recommend.

  6. Great
    Great

  7. there is better
I bought this book first and thought it was alright. I had done some other reading and found that the book contradicted the other info released by the various province health depts. For example you should not add cinnamon until your baby is a bit older due to allergies, and it is not advised to use the water from the carrots because of the nitrates. Another thing was the timing of foods varried from other resources. I would recommend The Baby’s Table, written by a teacher and a medical doctor. Cooking for Baby by Lisa Barnes is also really good.

  8. Wonderful
Very informative and very easy to understand how to make the purée food.

  9. Gud

  10. baby just loves these recipes

  11. This was a Gift for a friend of mine and she was really happy about this. She told me, that the receipes are easy to make! So that’s all I could say about this… 🙂

  12. I bought this cookbook, an immersion blender (hand-held stick blender), and some Fresh Baby Freezer trays Fresh Baby So Easy Baby Food and Breast Milk Trays and have been making baby food since. This book has some AMAZING recipes. There are a couple of misses as well but I’d expect that out of 100. I’ve been making notes in my cookbook that I thought would help others:pg 28 Sweet Potato and Broccoli: Always double this recipe to get 2 trays. The potato/broc ratio is perfect!pg 43 Cinderella’s Pumpkin: This is one of the few I wouldn’t make again.pg 51 Chicken with sweet potato and apple: This is a favorite at our house. I absolutely LOVE this recipe and so does my daughter.pg 54 Banana Peach and Strawberry: This recipe needs to be doubled to get at least 1 freezer traypg 58 Easy one-pot chicken: Good, but I only made it once and just made the Chicken with Sweet Potato and Apple (pg 51).pg 64 Lovely Lentils: YUM! I think I’m going to make an unpureed version of this one for myselfpg 68 Eat your Greens: Fantastic, it tastes like green mashed potatoes. We made this as an adult side dish in leui of normal mashed potatoes. Would be a great recipe for a toddler who doesn’t like their veggies.pg 71 Vegetables with cheese sauce: wonderfulpg 75 Fillet of fish in an orange sauce: Skip this one. I like fish but this was terrible. We tossed the batch.pg 95 Blueberry Banana and Apple: This recipe doubled only makes 1.5 tray. The recipe calls for 1 cup blueberries and I’ve found that a 10oz bag of frozen org blueberries = 2 cups. Great substitute!pg 106 Pasta with hidden veggies: Yum! Terrific sauce! Would also be good for a toddler who doesnt like veggies

  13. I was so excited about weaning my daughter & bought a few books on the matter. Annabel Karmels books are fabulous. Both informative & inspiring. I really enjoyed weaning & luckily i didn’t go back to work so had more time on my hands to make all my daughters meals from scratch in those important early days. I am not against jars & they are very useful when time is tight or you’re on the go but they can be a little bland & you know exactly what goes into your own creations. You also save quite a bit of money. This book covers everything from first tastes to more lumpy food for when your tot is a little older. Its important not to give your baby pureed food for too long as they may refuse to eat food with lumps in. It also helps with their development to move on swiftly. It even made me try foods that i hadn’t had before but found that i loved such as butternut squash & sweet potatos. There is plenty of helpful advice about when to introduce various foods & info about allergies & food intolerances. The books is divided up into age sections.Don’t wean without an Annabel Karmel book either this or the Baby & Toddler Meal Planner.I can’t wait to use this again in a few months time with my new son.
