Perfect to not scratch your pots
This potato masher is very sturdy and the silicone is high quality. The silicone does a fantastic job at both not scratching any nonstick coatings off of your pot and also helping with ease of cleaning as the starchiness of potatoes will act as glue if left to dry. I would be hesitant to leave this product soaking in water as there is no way to clean it under the silicone. However, it has a tight fit which doesn’t appear to be allowing any fluid to enter and I make sure to dry it with the silicone end up to help any possible drainage needs.
Replaced a decades-old masher that I’ve never liked. This one mashes very efficiently and is easy to clean. Missed the fifth star because it isn’t always easy to get into the corners of the pan and can feel a bit unbalanced.
I read a lot of reviews for this masher claiming itâs the easiest to clean⦠and itâs SO true! Its shape and the silicone cover on the mashing part makes it a dream to clean. I immediately binned our old ikea one!
Product works really well breaking up ground meat while cooking, the only thing it needs is a silicone grip on the handle. Haven’t tried it with potatoes yet…we’ll see.
The rubber or silcone or whatever is too thick and doesn’t mash hamburger very good at all.
Bought it for the silicone bottom, and it doesn’t disappoint. I wish the handle was rubberized for a better grip like oxo, but I’m okay with it since I value the silicone protector more.
