This is a great camera! Super easy to set up, install and use. It comes with 30 days free of cloud storage and the paid storage is very fairly priced.You can get cloud storage for one or multiple cameras so you donât over pay if you only have the one and save if you have multiple. There are also 7 and 30 day plans for the storage so you can pick the length of storage theyâre Iâll keep and have the option to download footage directly from the app.It has auto updates feature and you can choose the time of day or night for it to do so.It has a slot for local storage but the cloud is much more convenient (unlimited).Person detection works flawlessly, and the movement detection works even too good (it picked up a bug flying 5-6ft from the camera, picks up light changes- car headlights and you can hear a lot)The best feature that sold me on this thing besides the price was the option to talk to whomever was at the door. It is a two way radio.I have not had any problems so far with this guy, other than the fact that I had to lengthen the cable as it did not reach to the outlet I wanted to use, but you can also use an extension cable instead of being extra like me ð

This is the best camera you can get at this price
I purchased this camera to try as I already had two other Tapo cameras which are double the price of this one.There are so many features that I want to list, but you can find them in the camera videos and other online YouTube reviews. I will talk about the major key points that I liked.Pros:1. This camera can produce colored videos even in the night time without starting the light. I have uploaded a night video that you can see.2. Photo and video quality is great.3. I tested it on wi-fi and wired and both work great. Surprisingly the Wi-fi coverage is better than my other two Tapo cameras, it may be due to the antena.4. It is full of features and you can use it with cloud or without cloud (local SD card storage).5. I am in Canada and it has already started snowing, but they provide you with weather seal for both the wire connections. That is really helpful.6. Tapo app is wonderful and loads quickly for me. I am happy with the app and its features so far.7. You can create zones for different kinds of movements like, people, car, dog and even create a line-crossing detection, area intrusion detection and camera tampering notifications and the list goes on and on.8. Alerts and detection are error free and amazingly they work 100% accurate every time. I have been Lorex camera user in the past and i loved those cameras but detection was something that always lacked in my Lorex cameras.Cons:Technically I have not seen any negatives of this camera so far but since it is a wired camera, you may have to look for an easy way to put the power on. Wired internet is not a big challenge since it connects with Wi-fi like a charm.I would recommend this product.
Phenomenally easy
I came here to buy this after it was ranked first in a New York Times review of security cameras. Not only did it finish first it was also the cheapest.This camera replaces a previous cheap model that has since disappeared from Amazon. That experience was maddening. Flakey and limited software, intermittent WIFI signal, constant false notifications.This camera is mounted in the same spot and connected to the WIFI instantly. The software is simple and intuitive to use. The speaker is a little poor quality but I’m using it as driveway surveillance and have no plans on using the speaker.The image is very clear and downloads are simple and flawless. I have yet to figure out how to delete files on the SD card but with a 64 GB card I had kicking around and installed, I really don’t need to worry about. The Activity and Privacy Zones (areas to watch and areas to ignore) work great. I’m able to cut out the front street traffic and identify only movement in the yard and driveway. The microphone is very sensitive.What a wonderful package for such a good price. I’ll likely buy a couple of their solar units for mounting high on trees to watch all my good neighbours out walking their dogs…and the rare punk looking for Ford pickups to steal.One quick picky thing for the manufacturer. Please don’t tighten the screws to the SD card door so tight. It was a struggle to remove even with the perfect sized Phillips screwdriver. Other than that, great product!
Had to set to day mode, no way to disable IR that reflects like a spotlight in a window
Great camera in day, and once it’s set to day-mode at night it works decently. Unless you do, the IR is like a deer-jackiing spotlight in a window which blinds the camera to itself at night. Also turned off the led red indicator light.After that, it picks up motion well, and sound too when it records. Neither sd card I had seemed formattable, but I am happy to store to cloud, it’s cheap enough. Price was very reasonable for quality and simplicity. Images are quite clear, but do distort a tiny bit at outer edges due to wide angle.
Compre varias para el frente y patio de mi casa, la imagen es buena, mi Internet es de uso para el hogar y además lad instale inalambricas y para mi sorpresa funciona bastante bien, los materiales son muy resistentes ya que resistieron toda la temporada de lluvia sin ningún problema, usar y entender la App es súper fácil
Recién nos cambiamos de domicilio y en mi zona/ciudad las cosas se pusieron mal lo cual decidimos comprar varias cámaras y gracias a ellas podemos sentirnos más seguros ya que colocamos lÃmites dentro de la app los cuál nos manda notificaciones cada que se violan esos lÃmites, además de que tienen excelente calidad de imagen.

Me encantó la cámara llegó súper rápido, te notifica todo, excelente resolución, puedes hablar atravez de la cámara y grabar el audio, realizar zoom, la app de la cámara tiene una prueba gratis en la nube y después puedes pagar mensualmente o ponerle un micro SD. Yo pagué la app y es muy económica aparte que me registra todo. Nunca pierde señal y es super fácil de instalarla yo la requerÃa para monitorear mis mascotas y está excelente, a sido mi mejor aliado cuando me voy al trabajo. Si solo quieren 30 dÃas gratis de la nube tapo y ya no quieren pagar compren ADATA MICRO SDXC Clase V10 128 MB no se preocuparan del almacenamiento debido a que graba en bucle y borra videos viejos, almacena los nuevos asà que jamás se quedarán sin almacenamiento.
Big fan of tapo products however this camera installation is hell!It takes forever for to be installed and for set up especially if you are trying to reconnect to a different wifi system! If i were still in the uae where I bought it i would have definitely returned it.
