This is nice and thick, with very long side flaps to tuck under the mattress to help keep it in place. Good size area of the pad too, which has a soft flannel-like feel on top.I tested it out by slowly pouring one cup of water on it. The water initially beaded a little, but was absorbed fairly quickly. After about 10 minutes I checked underneath, and no water had leaked through at all. The surface of the pad did stay wet feeling, which may help your child to wake up sooner if they do wet the bed, but the underneath stayed dry. It’s also not crinkly sounding from the water proof layer. This is a great item for protecting your child’s mattress from the occasional nighttime accident.
Easy to use
This really helped for nighttime accidents. It works really well to protect sheets and bedding. It easy to put on and comfortable to sleep on.
This has been great as we potty train our son! When he does have an accident, we donât have to change the whole bed, just the pad! Great idea and makes life easier!
I like that it is very soft! and the tuck in straps are long and it does stay tucked in well. It takes at least 3 drying cycles to dry! And it would be better if it were a bit longer for the sleeper that moves around a lot.
We used this on a full size, although it’s made for a twin, so it didn’t cover side to side all the way, which I expected. The flaps to hold it in place obviously won’t work on a full, but the pad itself seems to be pretty typical. The airplanes pattern is cute! It went to good use the first night we had it, and managed to contain the fluid just fine. It did seem to be a bit short, as in it only covers a small portion of the mattress from top to bottom, so if your kid moves around a lot at night it’s possible they might not be on the pad when the accident happens. It’s the only drawback to this pad in my opinion (minus one star), but otherwise it functions fine with no leaking detected.
I got this for my 3 year old who started nighttime potty training. The design is adorable, he loves his airplanes and tries not to get them wet. I’m happy to say it did not go through and saved me from washing his sheets multiple times. The only thing I can say is even though it has flaps he somehow finds a way to get under it like a blanket. Overall, I recommend this product.
