The instructions were pretty easy to follow and it was quick to put together. I really like that the instructions reminded people to not completely tighten the screws just in case there were some adjustments needed. Everything in the box was nicely packaged and there werenât any marks on the metal or wood. The only issue I had was that I couldnât really figure out how to get the canvas onto it, I eventually was able to figure it out, but it wasnât as smooth of a process as the rest of the build. The finish on the bookshelf is nice and makes it look very modern.
This is a great height for my toddler and it holds a good amount of books. My only complaint is that the solid shelf on the bottom doesn’t have a bar or an edge on the right side, so books on the bottom shelf often tip over and fall behind the fabric side.
Now this could potentially just be my experience, but i feel there is a glaring mis-design to this to be a child’s room book shelf… It’s the cheap cloth book holder section.By not having a rigid book shelf of some kind, I’ve not only witnessed my niece getting stuck in it, but also falling into it. I then thought it would be a bright idea to take off the cloth book shelf and quickly realized random poles are even more useless. My last ditch thought was “just remove the other half” which at the surface seems justifiable, but I then quickly brought myself back to Earth and declared the war lost.I will say, it was relatively easy to assemble if you remember to slide the dreaded cloth bookshelf on at the right time. There are nice adjustable legs to address any uneven surfaces and to keep it stable. All in all, it’s not bad, it’s a great height for a child’s book shelf, it just overshadowed by the decision to use a cloth medium for the shelving.
This was a bit tricky for me to set up, even with instructions. It took around 40 minutes for me to build.It is small, so look at the dimensions to be sure it is the size you want.Overall, it is cute and great for a young child’s space.
Great addition to the playroom. Great space for all the books and some toys. Assembly was easy and quick. Light enough to move around if needed but still sturdy. Price is fair.
