Worth Every Penny
Worth every penny. Especially with a child in daycare. Much easier to dress appropriately for the temperature (including jackets) and if it’s raining they pop him into this. Otherwise you have to try and make sure on cold days you put him in an extra sweater in addition to his regular rain coat…and then he’s too warm inside. If you send the sweater they have to remember to put it on him plus his jacket. Confusing enough they’ll miss sometimes. This way they know to put on his outdoor jacket and add the muddy buddy if required. He comes home clean and dry every time even when playing in the rain and mud. Plus with webcams at the daycare, you get to see all the cute little monkeys in their ‘hazmat’ suits ready to go outside. Generous sizing allows for a long wear period…much like rain boots.

I absolutely love this Muddy Buddy Rainsuit. We went camping and got caught in a terential down pour – really glad we had this suit cause it kept our little guy dry and warm. A few things to keep in mind make sure to get water proof foot coverings or boots. Our 10 month old isn’t walking yet & I had fleece booties since everyone said it ran large I assumed his feet might be covered, but they definitely weren’t. So I put on socks and plastic bags over his feet cause of how hard it was raining. Once we were in a covered area I took off the plastic bags. So I highly recommend getting boots or something that is water proof for their feet. As reference my son is 10 months old (at his 9 month appointment he was 29 inches long & 20lbs 5.4oz – about 1 month ago) and the size 12 month fit him perfectly. It is supposed to be big so your able to fit clothes underneath. I will definitely be purchasing larger sizes in the future when he out grows his current suit. I was debating this for a long time because of the price, but honestly it is worth it especially if you live anywhere that it regularly rains. This is so much easier than having separate jacket and pants.
I ordered the 12 month size for my 1 year old, based on other reviews stating that the product runs large. She is just barely still wearing her 12 mo clothing, and is starting to wear more 12-18 and 18 mo sizes. This coverall is very roomy, so you can put warm clothes underneath and your child can still move around freely. I bought in September am pretty confident this will fit her through spring. Next year when she’s two I imagine we will need to size up!The sleeves are pretty long, so I have to cuff them so she can play with her little hands. There is not a velcro cinch on the wrists, but there is elastic, which helped to hold the cuff up when I rolled up her sleeves. That would be one improvement they could add, is additional adjustability on the sleeves such as velcro at the wrist or some way to adjust the sleeve length.The blue is a very pleasing color. It looks like a deep aqua in person, similar to how it looks on their model. When I take a photo of it though, the sheen on the fabric makes the photo turn out more like royal blue.Since she’s not walking yet, I love the coverall design, as she can crawl in the wet grass and there is no way her midsection can get wet. Overall, great product. Her daycare teachers love it, and so do I!
