Awesome toy
I got this for my toddler’s 2nd birthday, and it was a winner. I recorded a birthday message that plays when one foot is pressed, and the duck repeats everything it hears on that setting.The other foot plays music nonstop when pressed, which I’m less fond of lol. The music is annoying and I kind of wish I had just gotten a repeating toy without the music function, but my toddler loves the music, so I’m giving the duck 5 stars!
Loads of fun, but some limitations
This talking, dancing duck is a super fun concept. The design itself is really cute. The facial features and little checked bandana are super sweet. The plush fabric is really soft to the touch. The head is soft and full of stuffing, but the body is not squishy as it contains the batteries and all of the inner workings. So overall, itâs not a very cuddly toy.The outer quality seems really good. The duck is put together really nicely with no loose threads or imperfections. I think that the little velcro flap to cover the duckâs bottom where the battery pack is housed is a really nice feature that adds to the overall quality. This is an area of the duck that is not really visible, but the manufacturer went the extra step to ensure the toy looked complete.It takes a little bit to get the voice playback feature to work properly. You have to press and hold the duckâs right foot and wait for the beep. While still holding the foot, you can then record your message. Once you let go of the foot, it will double beep and your message is recorded. You can then press the button on the foot and playback that message as many times as you wish until you record a new one. The pre-recorded message will be in your own voice. The mimic feature, on the other hand, is separate and the duck will imitate your words and phrases at any point when itâs turned on. No button pushing necessary. It will do this in a funny âchipmunkâ sounding voice. Personally, I think the voice is hilarious, especially because it picks up laughing, giggles, and other sound effects too which are fun to hear played back. Note, itâs not always consistent with what it picks up and what it doesnât. Sometimes it will cut off some longer phrases. It will easily pick up one or two words from a couple of feet away, but anything longer than that, you seem to have to be pretty close to the duck for it to catch it, and even then it doesnât always repeat the whole phrase.The music feature has 8 songs ranging from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, to Bingo, Old McDonald, and If Youâre Happy and You Know It. There are some songs with recognizable tunes (Freres Jacques and This Old Man), but unrecognizable lyrics (at least not recognizable to me). There are also a couple of songs I donât know at all. Despite the lyrics not always being comprehensible, the music itself is pretty fun. I really like the little neck movement that the duck does when it’s dancing. Itâs really cute. There is also a volume feature that works by pushing and holding the left foot while the music is playing. I wasnât aware of this until I looked closer at the product description online.Overall this duck is loads of fun for kids and even sometimes adults if theyâre feeling a little silly 😉 Although, am I the only one thatâs bothered by the fact that the duck quacks and flaps its wings in a seemingly panicked way when itâs picked up by the neck? Doesnât seem like thatâs any way for us to teach young, impressionable kids to be nice to animalsâ¦

Plushy, Fun, and Hilarious
As the title suggests, this toy pet is plushy and soft to the touch. It appears to be a goose to me, but the listing says it’s a duck. Anyway, by pressing one of its feet, it randomly sings an uplifting, children’s tune. By pressing the other foot, it repeats the last bits of sounds it has recorded and makes our kid giggles. Our kid is at the phase of learning pronunciation and quite enjoys this toy’s company.
Very cute toy and the toddlers love it, although at first they were hesitant. We heard my grandson talking in his room during nap and found out he was talking to it and of course it answers! very cute toy.
The kids loved this toy and had so much fun. Even the adults joined in the fun. I am actually ordering another one for a 4 year old child.
My 2 year old grand child is truly enjoying playing with this ducky. She was kind of scared of it at first, but I reassured her that the little ducky was fine and meant her no harm. Once she relaxed some, she started having a blast with it. It is now one of her favorite toys to play with.It plays a variety of songs; flaps it wings; twirls its neck and if you push the button on the other foot, it will change modes and repeat what is said. My grand daughter is really liking that part of playing with the duck.Recently it did start getting a little wonky and the functions would not work right. When that happens, we have to turn it off and then back on to clear up the issue. So I hope this is not going to be an ongoing problem, cause both my grand daughter and us adults are all having so much fun with this toy.

His bright eyes are embroidered as are his blushing cheeks.The microphone and music symbols are embroidered also. His neckerchief is sewn carefully with even stitches.His plush is very soft and high quality. His tummy is shorn to give a different texture.
