I got this to give some organization to my dorm locker. Iâm pretty limited on room, so organization is a must. This shelving unit fits perfectly into my locker and there are plenty of dividers and places to put things. This is definitely worth it if you need some organization!
I am in a new house and haven’t built closets yet, and only have a hanging rack for my clothes. So I wanted something to hold foldable clothes, socks, and underwear. This has 3 open shelves that worked for my pants and shorts. And then the 3 drawers I use the one that is divided by 12 to hold socks and underwear and this is the drawer that gets the most use. The other drawers have open space and I would like to have had one more divider to optionally use.I like this overall. It is out of the way, yet easily accessible. The drawers are a little sticky to open and usually requires two hands, one to hold the tower from swinging out, and the other to pull the drawer. It is nice to have the versatility of dividing this into two stacks instead of just one. And that also helps with weight distribution if you have a free standing close rack that maybe can’t take all the weight on one side.So not perfect, but not sure what else you can do for a hanging shelves/drawers to be more stable than this.
This looks really nice, and I think the types of pockets/sections are nice. But it’s so light weight, it’s hard to load and unload, it just swings too easily. I got it for my husband’s closet in the home into which we are moving; it is very shallow so I thought this would be perfect for organizing. But the lightweight makeup of it caused him to refuse it. If I could find a way to rig it so that it could hang sideways, I could put it in the back corner and it could just be pushed against the wall. As it is, I’ll probably pass it on.
We live in a fairly small space, so I am always looking for ways to help everyone maximize their storage. They came ready to assemble and install in under five minutes, and all the hooks and stitching are of good quality. The shelf hangs easily from most standard clothing rods, and it can be split into two separate 3-tier hanging shelves as needed. I opted to split it in half and give one to each of the boys for their closets. They quickly became a space saver for folding pants and shirts, which allowed us to keep at least triple the amount of clothing in that space vs using hangars. The three drawers are also very sturdy and it just makes a moment to assemble their metal pull knobs. They can be used as drawers or as standalone storage bins. One boy uses two as bins on his upper shelf, and the other uses one as a drawer as intended. One purchase, many storage solutions in one go!Renter Friendly?: Yes! There are no screws or installations that could break a lease. If you have a steady rod to hang them on, you can instantly expand your available storage space without modifying your unit. These exceeded all my expectations. They are a solid purchase in every aspect I could think to weigh them against.
This was a good product that went together quickly and in place fast. The only issue we’ve had with it – and this is because of the material, any kind of organizer like this is going to have the issue – is that the drawers don’t come out very easily when filled. It’s not been a major issue, but if you have a kid or something who may yank on them with any resistance, it could create a problem, but for the most part it doesn’t.We don’t have the drawerless shelves laden with tons of weight, but just the little bit of clothes and hats and stuff that are on there don’t laden them too much where they can’t support the weight or something like that. But I wouldn’t use it to store bowling balls. General folded sweaters and clothing work well, though.
