A Charming Build Full of Detail – Great Value!
The TYCOLE Flower House Building Set with Lights (labeled as Garden Courtyard on the box) is a delightful and detailed build that evokes the charm of a small villa. The Tycole boxes are beautifully printed, showcasing the final model clearly. The set comes with numbered bags that correspond to the instruction steps, making the assembly process organized and straightforward.The instructions are generally clear, but I found some parts of the build process a bit tricky. Most of the structure is constructed off the baseplates and placed onto them later, which can be difficult, especially once other details are already in place. I think it would have been better to build directly on the plate, as pressing down the completed walls wasn’t as intuitive as I would have liked. To avoid parts detaching while placing, I broke the build down into smaller portions, which worked well.The quality of the pieces is excellent, with great clutch power, colour consistency, and very few scratches or blemishes. The only issue I encountered was with one of the clear window pieces, which had a bit of cloudiness in the glass. The door also feels slightly loose in the frame, but overall, the quality is impressive. The build is packed with intricate details, and I completed it in a little over two hours. Although some design elements could be tweaked, it’s a solid and enjoyable build.This set is perfect for both display and play, featuring an open-back (dollhouse style) design that allows for easy access to the interior. It stays together well and is sturdy enough for light handling. I love the light bricks included in the set… though they aren’t particularly bright and don’t illuminate the entire build, they are a cute touch that adds to the charm.In terms of value, the set is already a great deal at 5.6 cents per piece at full price. With the current 20% off coupon, it brings the price down to 4.5 cents per piece, making it an even better bargain!Overall, this set is a fun, adorable build with tons of potential for customization, play, and display. I enjoyed it so much that I ended up purchasing a second set to customize and expand it even further. Highly recommended!

Overall good set with tricky instructions
This set is very similar to a Lego set. However they are a few differences, the instructions are a bit more complex and not as user friendly. Also, the pieces don’t stay put together the same way, so they feel more flimsy. On the flip side, this set contains a little light which is a step up from its competitor. Overall, this is a fun set to build, the end result is nice and the price point is more affordable. Would recommend.

It’s not lego but it’s just as fun
This Tycole flower shop lego set (which isn’t real lego) has been lots of fun for kiddos at the 6-7 age range. The bricks are a bit off-size from normal lego but honestly you wouldn’t notice at all unless you try to combine the pieces. Lego proper has become a cash grab in the last few years, and this tycole set is the right price for fun. $32 CAD (Feb 2025) is reasonable.

Complicated instructions
Pros– ended up being a pretty build– All the building block sizes were consistent– The lights were fun additionCons– The instructions required very complicated fine motor skills for a kid, and some of the pieces were very challenging to put together even for an adult– the build was also more complex and it needed to be with several plants not fitting correctly, unless they were rotated in the right direction, which wasn’t obvious on the instructions– one of the small green pieces also broke during the build, which I wouldn’t normally expect out of a Lego set– the quality of the lights was not good. They are very flimsy and I actually have no idea how to turn them on or off aside from jiggling the switch until they turn on and jiggling the switch until they turn off.All that being said, I would still give this 3.5 out of 5. Quality was higher than I expected at an overall level. The lights were disappointing and the instructions were too complicated but it did take up a lot of time.

It turned out very cute! The instructions would have been clearer if they had been in an order that made sense. If you skip ahead to see what’s coming next you’ll see sometimes it’s better to do that then to follow in exact order because otherwise you end up knocking pieces apart that you’ve already done. Common sense goes a long way. That being said if you know it ahead of time then you’ll do just fine! They only other complaints or issues I had were that the pieces were in a bunch of different bags but the numbers on the bag did not make sense for any order for them to be in. I just opened up all the bags and sorted them. Also the little blocks that are the “lights” wouldn’t shut off once I pulled the tab and placed them they ended up dying quickly I will buy from this company again but I’ll just be aware of the above issues (challenge accepted!) The little buildings are so cute and a nice addition to my collection.

I was worried this wouldn’t be the same quality as Lego but it totally is. The instructions where good and I enjoyed building this with my daughter. The only thing I would change is I wish the building was a little bigger so there was more space for all the details. They have packed so much into this little building it’s incredible. The light up bricks really take it to a whole new level. I wonder if I’ll be able to change the batteries when they stop working, I don’t think they are meant to be changed. This set has so many unique plant pieces I’m torn between being excited about using them in new building projects and wanting to leave the house just the way it is forever because it’s so pretty. It would be easier to play in if the house was modified to be a bit more spacious inside. I will definitely buy more sets they are a really great value for the money you get so much more from this set than some competitors.
