8yo loved it but wishes it werenât so delicate
I bought this for my nephewâs 8th birthday. It was a more complicated build than he is used to but he was able to complete the shark portion by himself in three nights after school. However, the base was too difficult for him to complete by himself and he needed his Dadâs help.He thought the shark was super cool looking and he finds the crank handle mechanism to make it move really cool. The disappointing bit is that the build is very delicate and easily falls apart if moved or if you try to turn the handle too many times. He wanted to take it in for show-and-tell but it hardly survived the journey from the kitchen table to his bedroom.
His product definitely had a lot of detail that went into it, but my 10-year-old nephew whoâs obsessed with with building things got it completed in about two weeks! He absolutely loves the mechanic of it and movability really impresses him too since he built it, whereas most of his Legos break when he tries to maneuver them.

We gave this to my 15-year-old daughter and she really enjoyed it. The kit itself is fairly complicated and will be challenging for your kid to assemble, which in my opinion is great! I do think this did have one missing piece though which is why I’m marking it down one star.
This was a very awesome set to put together. However, once you get to bag three, it becomes impossible without having four hands because nothing snaps together. You have to hold everything with all ten fingers but they slip out and fall apart. Iâve been trying to put this together with my 11 year old my son and weâve thrown it across the room three times each.
So much fun to build. Swimming action is so cool all the gears and mechanics move the shark. Larger than anticipated but great size and very fun project. Great gift idea.
