Gift for engineer friend
Bought as a gift for a friend, who’s a mechanical engineer. It’s a great novelty piece, an item that looks great on a desk, table, bookcase you name it. Was easy to put together and he says it works just fine (the gears do turn relatively easily). The detail in the pieces are nice, and overall no complaints. Satisfied with my purchase.

These puzzles are so clever! The item arrived quickly and was well packaged. It was a gift, and my eight year old granddaughter put this together with just a little help. My only suggestion is that the moving parts be “greased with a tiny bit of petroleum jelly rather than wax.

I did not realize it was to be built. I thought it was already built. This is a Christmas present for my son. Iâm sure he will love it even though he has to put it together.

I purchased the dynamometer because it was advertised as an easy beginners wood puzzle. It was reasonably easy. My greatest frustration was the wooden toothpick axels. In every case,and there are several,the toothpick diameter is too large for the hole it must go threw. Therefore you have to sand every axel before you can use it. Each one is sanded on a piece of sandpaper not much larger than 2 sq. Inches. As well many parts must be âgreasedâ with a piece of wax that is approximately 20 cm. by 3 cm. Could you not provide a larger hole or a smaller toothpick (axel). As well the piece of wax is a joke. More thought has to be given before you can say this puzzle is non frustrating. Surely you can provide a better product for the beginner.

Not being great as regards either manual dexterity or eyesight I bought this as a trial before tackling a more complex model. The kit is of excellent quality with documentation to match. The only problem I had was that the candle wax I used did not prove to be a sufficient lubricant to get the machine working simply by blowing on the top wheel but other than that it works as intended and was a pleasure to make. I am now looking forward to trying a more ambitious kit.
Putting this kit together was incredibly enjoyable for me. Once it was all together it worked very nicely. If you like building things, puzzles, or just amazing machines in motion this is a great kit.Once you get it make sure to follow the instructions very carefully, though, in order to make sure all the parts line up. Also be sure to wax the meshing area on gears BEFORE you put it together. This is very important. Aside from following the basic instructions I only had to sand down one tiny bump on a rotating part for it to work flawlessly.

Il progetto in quanto tale è molto interessante e sicuramente è una bellissima opera di ingegneria. Ogni singolo incastro è ben studiato e il risultato finale è aderente a quanto mostrato in foto.Il problema principale di questo tipo di oggetto è la fragilità dei materiali che rappresenta perfettamente il costo irrisorio. Fin dalla estrazione dei singoli pezzi dalle griglie di legno, abbiamo avuto difficoltà ad evitare che alcune parti si scheggiassero. A soffrire di mutilazioni inaspettate sono stati soprattutto i pezzi piccoli, quelli che poi reggevano tutto l’incastro.Peccato per questi particolari non da poco, perché altrimenti il pezzo montato è davvero fantastico.In chiusura, il servizio di Amazon e del rivenditore sono stati impeccabili.
