Soft, thick enough and as expected.
Havenât tried it yet. But the bottom layer looks waterproof. And overall thickness looks good for me to use in a crib. The surface material is soft.

I love this crib mattress protector! I ended up buying a second one. It fits great on both of my crib mattresses. Iâve had no issues with the absorbency and cleans well in the washing machine. I also love it because it doesnât have that plastic smell, feel and sound. It is soft and feels very comfortable for my babies. I would definitely recommend this product.
Soft
I use this without a sheet because it’s nice and soft and comfy. My baby spits up a lot and none has seeped through. I’ve had it for around 4 months now and washed it a ton because of all the spitup and has held up great.
Beautifully soft and high quality
I’m glad I decided to go with this one instead of the two pack of an inferior brand. This one is so lovely and soft. The mattress we have for the crib is weirdly…stiff and almost crinkly. This added a layer of softness under the sheet that helps a ton, and although we haven’t tested the waterproof aspect of it yet, it seems like it will do the trick.

Soft but not confident about water resistance
Very soft and easy to wash, however, as other reviews mention itâs not as water resistant as a cover with a plastic backing. I bought as the cover I had (with a plastic backing) was destroyed. Our child isnât night trained yet so really have only tested this with morning pee overflow but itâs left the mattress dry for that. The real test is yet to come when we ditch night diapers but given how soaked the cover was for these tests I donât have much confidence in it. Itâs wonderfully soft though and easy to wash (throw in machine, partially tumble dry on low hang dry to finish). So for our purposes now itâs fine. A note on the washing- line drying takes ages as the sides of the cover absorb a lot of water and dry very slowly so I put it in the tumble dryer on low for a short amount of time before line drying.

Holds up very well! Still in perfect condition after a little over a year. It has leaked through some liquids once or twice – but I think it was due to a lot of liquid being spilled. For the most part itâs good at liquid not getting through to the mattress. Itâs also incredibly soft!
Excellent item
Fits a standard crib mattress perfectly and seems to be comfy for our grandson!
