A wranch is needed to tighten the umbrella holder onto the chair. It does not tighten by hand hassel free as stated in the ad. Will be returning it.

Great ideal, but flawed since the mounting bracket requires tools
This umbrella clamp is a great ideal for mounting an umbrella to a stroller, foldable lawn chair, or patio chair. However, there is one flaw that significantly reduces its usefulness. The mounting bracket that secures onto the chair or stroller requires a wrench. Despite the description stating that no tools are required, you won’t be able to easily tighten the two bolts with your hand. Why they didn’t include a wing nut to tighten this clamp like there is on the other end for the umbrella clamp makes no sense. If you wanted to semi-permanently mount this to a chair, it’s not much of an issue. However, not being able to easily remove the umbrella holder would not work for foldable strollers and foldable lawn chairs. Besides that flaw, the build quality of the holder is good but the plastic components that make up the hinges and connecting pieces feel a bit cheap. The umbrella clamp end is easy to use and tighten with wing nut and positioning and adjusting the angle of this holder is fairly easy.
Neat concept!
My daughter is in a wheelchair and when I saw this I figured I absolutely have to get it! I was trying to figure out a solution to the umbrella issue when we have to go somewhere and it’s raining, and this is it!My only gripe is that I can’t rotate the actual clamp, so I had to get creative in where I clamp it onto, as there aren’t many available areas on the chair that accommodate the specific angle you need.That said, it functions as you’d expect: you clamp it onto the bar, extend the pole out to where you need it, and clip the umbrella in!I wish the extension would have been a little longer, but it is what it is and it gets the job done.The other thing is that the extension is VERY stiff, but that’s great in this case because the weight of the umbrella on its own won’t bend it.
