Couldn’t tell it wasn’t Lego.
I’m 50yo no kids. So I haven’t touched Lego in decades. I think technic came out after I last played with it…. I never used technic before. Been that long….. But when I saw a Johnny 5 I could have I had to have it for display in my Media room. I loved that movie as a kid.Nostalgia win for sure for the seller. You got me. Two times twice once I saw it was Lego too. My intention was to put this guy together with the wife. But she was intimidated by the mass of pieces. It just wasn’t her interest I guess….So I did it on the kitchen table in one night on myown as she checked in once and a while.The instructions were very easy to follow. There was a couple times I thought I was missing a piece. But I would usually find it. Once I had to get a part out of another bag from a different numbered part of the build. But I ended up having all the parts and a few extras in the end. So no biggy there. The quality of the parts is right up there with Lego. I can’t believe how much it’s evolved over the years. It’s amazing the amount of new pieces they’ve come up with and what you can do with them. The remote control part works fine. It was a little finicky to get the treads onto the body and to get the CV joints together to get the head turning. But it’s manageable with patience. I found the whole process enjoyable.In the end I found the kit was affordable for what you get and very well designed. I highly recommend it to suckers like myself looking to rekindle their youth. Or for those still there.

Glue it as you go
Glue the pieces as you go or it will fall apart every time you add another piece.It almost went in the garbage twice. Thatâs when I figured Iâd glue it and save me the griefAmazing product. Looks great. Easy directions to follow.
It was somewhat difficult having big hands, but it is a cool piece to bring back part of my childhood
This one’s awesome, talk about a nostalgic overload, this thing is nice, the app was a little hard to install but it’s a million miles ahead of the remote, in the app the forward button makes him go forward instead of having to hold 2 buttons on the controller and turning is just as simple.My one and only complaint is these UV joints, they were very difficult to put together, every set I’ve ever bought, both Lego and off brands came with these parts pre-assembled, I don’t think an 8 year old could do it, I’m almost 40 and I wasn’t sure if I was going to be able too
This a great set. Probably one of the most detailed ones out there. Also the fact that its motorized is just a bonus. Its an awesome display piece. I like the fact that you can controll it with an app or the included mini controller.
I bought this model kit to add to my collection of small robot kits and for the price I wasn’t expecting much. Turns out to be very easy to put together and very complete. There were only a few times where the directions got me pretty confused. Overall, it’s an excellent model and it really gives the vibe of the movie while being a great value for the price.
