Better then my video monitor
These are wicked. I have now used them for approximately 7 months. Originally we got a video monitor for our baby shower that hooks up to your phone, but these are so much better. Let me tell you why.These don’t rely on your internet connection. They work even when thats down. They sync so easily and ive never had an issue. Not once.They stay charged pretty well. Honestly ours stay plugged in (one bedside, one in living room) but when we do have to take them to do random things, theyre great.Sound quality is phenomenal. Honestly I can hear the quietest whisper when its on 3 out of 5 volume bars.My only issue, and its a non-issue is that there is a little light to show its plugged in and the handle glows slightly. I covered it with electrical tape and the handle actually is very faint, I covered most of that with tape too actually.Anyway, I highly recommend. Will be using these for our next children if we have any. Im very happy with our purchase as I write this at 1:30am because the video monitor has cut out…. again.
Great item, you CAN stop the loud recording!!
Works really well, as for the loud recording at the start up, as soon as the unit say lined, press the talk button and it stops the recording!
Works well as hands free intercom.
I was fed up with trying to call my wife from downstairs while she was in the upstairs ensuite bathroom doing her make-up or whatever.I needed something that was hands free at her end. Any intercom that I read about reviewers were unhappy with the hands free function as well as the sound quality. Some could also hear neighbours units interfering so it was not a secure private connection between the units.Fortunately I stumbled across this baby/intercom monitor that had many good reviews some from people using it as a hands free intercom like I needed.It has many good features.Encrypted audio for privacy, push to talk at one end and hands free at the other, selectable sensitivety/squelch levels, clear audio.These units should really be promoted as good intercom/monitors for seniors.Works very well for us.
They work pretty well, sensitive microphone
These things have a pretty sensitive microphone, good speakers. They do the job, for sure.You can plug them in and use batteries for backup, but if plugged in and there’s any power interruption, they’ll disconnect from the main unit then reconnect a minute or so laterWhen it does you get a super annoying “vtech cares about your baby safety” message every time. If you power off the main unit manually, the receivers will beep every 30 seconds or so to tell you they’re not connected.That can be super annoying but these are easily worth the money
Awesome for two floors
I bought this with a video camera already in her bedroom. Wanted to have an audio baby monitor that can be used while I’m downstairs without constantly checking on my phone. the loudest volume is quite loud, I keep on at a level 2-3 and hear baby very easily. Also great range, I’ve gone outside to the backyard with it and I don’t lose any range. Baby is audible 100% of the time. Haven’t used the talk feature as I don’t need it, but it works. I keep one monitor in our bedroom at night and the other on the main floor. I do keep them plugged in and just turn off the monitors depending on where I am (i.e turn off bedroom monitor during the day, turn off the main floor monitor at night). Happy I bought these!
Great sound
This monitoring system is working great. I use it to monitor my elderly parent sleeping on another floor of the home. I am very please with the sound with regards to quality and clarity regardless of where I am in the home. It is mostly used at night and if I am outside working in the yard. Great product, would highly recommend it.

Brilliant for the elderly mother-in-law
It’s been years since I’ve used a baby monitor and they’ve come a long ways. Wow! We bought this unit to use for my 89 year old mother-in-law who lives with us and is very fragile. We were worried about her when we were outside in the yard or shop or during the night when she’s in her bedroom. With this unit, my husband can have one parent unit and I can have one so we can both be in contact. Love the ‘talk’ feature so we can reach out to her as well and ask her how things are going

Itâs 120V supported chargers broke. We realised it too late thinking it wouldnât be a problem considering that we bought it from Amazon india. Anyway, be cautious!
