Reviews

  1. Great for 2 year olds
Good entertainment for a 2 year old. I like how it has different levels depending on the kid’s age. Battery life is very good. Very good quality.

  2. Great for busy babies and toddlers
Our son is physically delayed due to health problems. We’re always looking for ways to engage and entertain him during tummy time. The toy has been great for keeping him occupied and in motion. He likes to chase after it, and the bright colours and sounds help keep his attention drawn to it. It is a bit on the heavier side and has a tendency to tip over if it hits a raise surface, such as a coffee table.

  3. Another great learning toy from VTech
Whenever I see the name VTech I know that the toy will be both well-made and educational. I have ordered many VTech products and they are always innovative and well-made. This Dribble and Bounce Tiger is no exception. The Tiger arrived very nicely packaged in a giftable box that even allows you to test him out. When I first received this I was pleasantly surprised that it is bigger than I expected. There are AA batteries included and installed but these are mainly for demo purposes and you need to install new batteries. There are 4 buttons on the chest of the tiger in the shape of stars that you press. These buttons control the movements and phrases. There are a lot of phrases and songs that he says and many are educational. For example, he counts and then bounces the basketball the number he states. The tiger also moves around the floor dribbling the ball. There are sensors that help him avoid obstacles and “dodge” children if they approach him as they would when playing basketball. When you press the buttons he also has some very cute basketball-related phrases that he speaks. One thing that is very cool and unique is how the tiger uses the basketball. He raises it up and spins it as well as dribbles the ball. They do this with a very innovative method using a string that is attached to the basketball. It looks really cool when he dribbles the ball.Like all VTech toys, this basketball-playing tiger feels well-made and durable. It is perfect for toddlers and children who are attracted to the lights, sound, and motion.I am very happy with this basketball-playing tiger. The price is very reasonable and good value for your money and I do recommend him

  4. Hilariously fun toy!
This Dribble & Bounce tiger by V-Tech is hilariously fun and funny. It “walks” although it’s more like gliding on any flat surface and has sensors built in so that it avoids hitting objects or walls or children, etc. 🙂 while singing and dribbling a basketball or spinning the basketball on a fingertip in the manner of the Harlem Globetrotters. It has lots of flashing lights and sounds, and it sings and does counting and other number drills around its basketball theme. The songs are enough to drive you batty but the little ones absolutely love them and love the tiger. The youngest one likes trying to catch him (they’ve named him Tony.)It is the kind of toy that you kind of wish you’d bought for someone else’s kids, but hey that’s all part of parenting, right? It’s a V-tech so you know the quality is going to be terrific and it is. Very durable and not likely to break easily if at all.It does require batteries, though, and not the rechargeable type which surprised me a little bit since there has been such a move toward rechargeables in recent years. But other than that, no complaints at all. The kiddos love it and when the kiddos are happy, mama’s happy.

  5. Really cute, really annoying. Great for grandkids to take home. 🙂
I can’t lie, this is one of those toys that grandparents buy for grandkids to send home with them knowing it’s going to drive their parents crazy. It’s okay parents, someday you’ll have grandkids of your own to enjoy. So, this is a cute little guy. VTech does make really great kid toys so you have the name behind it and you can rest assured that it’s good quality. It does a number of things and there are a number of songs on it that a little one will probably enjoy immensely.I made a little video for an example. This toy comes with batteries that are apparently for demo purposes but you could absolutely leave them in until they die.I’m not sure about the roaming around the house thing because we didn’t unpack it since it’s going to be a gift for a little one but to be honest I kind of wonder if it wouldn’t scare the youngest kids. I guess time will tell. If they’re not afraid of it it certainly would inspire them to get up and chase it.I’m giving this toy five stars because it is a good name, it seems like a great toy, and I’m pretty sure that it has a great entertainment value for little ones (as long as they take it home with them).

  6. Great toy to annoy the whole family
Super cute, but will quickly get annoying! That’s ok it’s for babies and can lower the volume. Or you can get earplugs! As to be expected, just typical vtech quality, babies will throw it down the stairs and it’ll be just fine! Vtech toys are really built to last and your future kids will be able to inherit them!My issue with this one is it seems to do very little. It says a couple things, it does a little counting thing, it moves, really does little to no “educating”. Seems like a big obnoxious thing that does very little.Either way, a toddler or baby will probably love it!

  7. What A Fun Toy!
This tiger toy is a hoot. It is such an engaging toy and the little in my life really like it. It’s cool that the built in sensors stop it from bumping into things and falling over. My favourite thing about this tiger is the basket ball bouncing, it is attached by a string and it simulates the bouncing. It’s really cute. It sings songs, plays games, and works with numbers. It lights up as well. Parents can switch it between gaming mode and learning mode. There is also an automatic shut off after the toy sits idol for a while. The wheels on the bottom aren’t noisy on the hardwood floor, and they do okay on low pile carpet. Overall, it’s a fun toy. Its great for encouraging little ones to get moving. It is durable and holds up well to rough play.
