Great toy
Great gift for my 1 year old. She loves it. Makes sounds and the blocks drop into the cart under the seat. She just needs to get used to riding it.
Great gift for 1-2 year olds
We bought this Vtech train for our grandson, who is 10 months old. He received it for Christmas and loved it. It has many sensory components, and he is always discovering something new on it. Very colourful, and quite stable, for him to stand up while holding onto it. We ordered it in the frustration free packaging, and when I first received it, I was a little disappointed, as the brown box it came in wasnât appropriate for gift giving, however, we took it out of the brown box and put it together under the tree and it was perfect.
Fun, lots of buttons and features
We bought the Frustration Free Packaging one and it came in a VTech brown box. Not the official colourful box but nonetheless, a VTech one. Everything felt new and all was included. Great purchase at a discount. My daughter is enjoying it a lot.For future models, I would also add a type of handle to the seat so that when we detach it from the main locomotive part, the child could maneuver the seat easier. She can still do so now but she actually likes to climb on the train and try to drive that one (when they’re separated), since it has handles.

Great for Toddlers
My daughter friggin loves this train, and it’s very well thought out. All the pieces snap together permanently, and they’re very durable. It even has a 360 degree swivel hitch for the “trailer” section, so your kid can’t break it if it flips! I took off a star because you have to apply most of the “detail” stickers yourself, which I found tedious.

Got this for a steal! And it is awesome the train reads the blocks out and repeats it multiple times to helped them learn words easier . Very multipurpose.
Bought for my nephews 2nd birthday.
He absolutely loves it. Its the perfect size for him to sit and ride. So many things for him to play and learn with.

Good price and delivered very promptly. My 1yr old grandson loved all the do dads, lights, etc., it 2as a fight with his 4 yr old sister as to who played with the âradioâ. Great buy for an active tyke. Sturdy enough for two kiddies to sit on.
My son is on the autistic spectrum & developmentally delayed & this was his favorite gift for Christmas he loved the Sound quality, & The Playability is perfect for him & I love the Functionality, Stability, & Durability. there is a lot there To keep him entertained & learning.I highly recommend this for children that love lights, sounds & learning to walk.Iâm not sure about the battery life because weâve only had it a couple of days.
Many activities. Gets a lot of use. If riding it does really turn well. My grandson loves putting his toys in the seat and riding and pushing the train.
Durable? Most definitely! 9 years of use from 7 grandchildren including a set of twins and it still runs down the hall. Everyone loves playing with it (still- even of parents want to turn off the repetitive music) and it has never tipped over so super safe! The sound quality is remarkably clear and the batteries work for a long time. We use rechargeable and have written a note where to replace them under the remote that has been lost. Children love all the different ways to play with it and it is big enough for the 3 and 5 year old to rode together (quite uncomfortably- but sharing isnât easy when it has so many memories at MiMi and Papaâs house. Fyi, my husband asked me to write this review as it has been a great investment and wonderful, long lasting, technical toy!
This is my second time purchasing this toy thatâs how much the kids love it. The first was when my oldest was an infant and him and my middle child loved it. Somewhere a long the way we got rid of it. Unsure of why.Bought this one for my youngest. Itâs so easy to assembly I was able to do it with him âhelping meâ no tools were required. It also came with batteries which was a huge plus.Heâs not quite ready to use it as a ride in toy independently however he enjoys the sounds, spinning the wheels and stacking the letter blocks that come with it. It has kept him entertained. This is the second one and both were durable I think the first one was just given away during a move or something along those lines but it never broke. We definitely lost some of the letters to the first train but shocking six years later we still had some and can be extra for this one. Itâs hard plastic so really donât see how it could break.
