Works great
Bought this baby monitor in 2021 and still works great 3 years later. The video and sound quality is amazing and never had an issue with it. The range on it is also amazing. I can take it outside with me and have no issues with the range. Only down fall is that the battery doesnât last more then a few minutes after being unplugged but thatâs not the end of the world. I always have it plugged in. I am really impressed with this baby monitor
My favourite monitor!
This is the third monitor Iâve bought (one which I loved that broke, one that was annoying to use and I returned it) this one is fantastic.Okay, the one draw back is the battery life, BUT donât let that be the reason you donât buy this! Itâs not the best, but we only use our monitor for nap time and night time so as long as itâs on the charger in between itâs not a big deal (plus right now we only have use for one camera so we keep the extra cord in the basement as an extra charger if weâre up late).One cool thing about this monitor is that the talk back feature actually works! Every other monitor Iâve bought, the talk back feature is distorted and incoherent, the talkback on this is crystal clear!Itâs easy to install and alter the settings. Super user friendly and I like the interface. The screen is small but I can still see everything thatâs going on in my sonâs crib.The sound quality is great and goes louder than I need it to.Anyway, itâs a great monitor at a good price and I highly recommend it!
Good unit
This is a good monitor unit. The functionalities are very useful, from multiple feeds, to temperature monitoring, noise monitoring, two way talk function and non-WiFi transmission are all appreciated. The range on the unit is quite far and can easily be used even if you are working or hanging outside of your house, which is very useful.The buttons on the unit need to be pressed a bit harder than expected to use but once you’re used to them this isn’t a big problem.The only downside to this unit in our experience is that the battery life is not really as advertised. Charging it seems to take long and it seems to not last long on a charger either. I would say the maximum the battery seems to last would be about 4 hours, although I haven’t timed it. It’s definitely not something I’d leave unplugged through the night.Overall satisfied but the battery leaves some to be desired.
Horrible battery life, buy something else
Iâve only been using this for 9 months and the battery is horrendous. It will have full battery, Iâll turn it off, then turn it back on for the next nap and the monitor is beeping at me because the battery is dead all of a sudden. Itâs insane how crappy baby monitors are made seeing as they are an aid to keep human babies safe. Absolutely disappointed in this product, I even made sure to get a good brand so this didnât happen. My baby isnât even 1 yet and this thing gives me grief everyday.Also great that it has the ability to switch between to cameras in two different rooms but you canât see or hear them at the same time so itâs pointless for nighttime.
AWFUL battery *updated
*Update 1 year later. VTECH has excellent customer service. They took care of me in a timely manner. I’ll be purchasing another one of these units despite the battery.Original review: How VTECH hasn’t just upgraded the batteries to Lithium yet is beyond me. The old Ni-MH batteries are AWFUL and the replacements I purchased from Amazon are just as atrocious.This being said, you can get these for a great price most of the time and apart from the ridiculously terrible battery it is a great little unit when plugged in.The volume and sound quality is good, the picture quality in regular daytime mode and nighttime mode are fine and the zoom is a handy little feature to have.I’d likely still purchase this unit if they upped the price a bit but offered a better battery because the rest of the product is worth it.

Baby monitor has good distance but battery doesn’t last anymore, has to be plugged in at all times. I have had no luck with any baby monitor, so it’s the same as all the rest. Double camera so you can see 2 rooms at once and you can set it up to switch between the rooms.
Best baby monitor
We live in the country and needed something sturdy with range that didnât use wifi. This baby monitor has exceeded my expectations. Camping and around the yard the parent unit has held up to over a year of abuse. The battery doesnât last like it used to, but itâs an easy fix with a battery pack.Sadly today it fell on the kitchen floor and the screen doesnât work anymore. I wish I could order just a new parent unit. Will be purchasing another set!

Our other camera broke, and didnt want to spend $$$ again. This works well, have used it for about 6 months and traveled with it. Easy to set up, really good range, was able to have kids sleep in one room in one house and pop over next door without issue.Unable to rotate the camera, so make sure it is set up right before leaving the room. For this price no complaints!
