Reviews

  1. So far loving it
I’ve been using this for a couple months and have had no issues – I absolutely the pan and tilt function for when the monitor gets knocked or baby shifts

  2. Great purchase
We bought these to travel with so we did not need wifi. The range is decent and the clarity is good. I love how you can rotate/swivel the cameras from the monitor. Only downfall is that there is a green flashing light that is bright. I need to put electrical tape over it so my child will go to sleep. It would be nice if the white noise option was better.

  3. The blinking light on the camera!
The blinking light on this camera is so bright and it blinks! It’s so disrupting, I wouldn’t be able to sleep with it. Whoever decided to put a blinking light on a baby monitor??! It’s super annoying at night, I’m going to have to find something to cover it up. I’ve only had this a few days and everything else seems fine.

  4. Signal strength on one camera is weak.
Received these today and did some close proximity testing and understanding on how to use the cameras with parent unit. Everything worked well then did some distance testing (cameras on 2nd floor and parent unit on 1st floor). One camera had a strong connection and the other camera lost connection. The camera with the lost connection was further away so I assumed it was a loss in connection from the distance but I decided to swap the cameras from each room to confirm. It turns out it appears to be a signal/antenna issue with one of the cameras because after the swap the camera that was furthest away and wasn’t work continues to not work closer to the parent unit and the camera that worked closest continues to work further away. We’ll be returning these cameras unfortunately because we did like them.

  5. Amazing with really nit-picky flaws
It’s a really great system, however some of the cheaper ones have better features. For example, a monitor I was forced to replace due to physical breakage had its own button on the camera to turn on the music. Also, the previous one I owned had a wider angle on the camera. In other words, I had it physically installed closer but got a better overall view than I do now with the VTech VM924-2. The panning works great, and night vision is perfect.

  6. Camera lens is not wide enough
This is a great baby monitor packed with lots of features, but there were a couple of issues preventing me from keeping it.The first issue is that the camera lens is not wide enough. I mounted one camera about 2 feet from the crib and the view on the monitor was too zoomed in. I placed the second camera in the family room to see the play area and the camera was still too zoomed in, even though it was placed at one end of the room. The second issue is that it picks up the white noise we have playing in the nursery while the baby sleeps. Unfortunately we had to return this baby monitor.

  7. Good features but bad quality camera
Got this monitor as I liked that it had 2 cameras and the option of a split screen to view both rooms. I like that it reads the room temperature and the battery life is long. However, the product box says “high resolution” camera, but the night time mode is extremely blurry/not high res and zoomed in – we have to place the camera at the far end of the room. Because of the poor camera quality, I’ll be returning this and looking for a higher resolution video.

  8. La pila dura muchísimo, la señal es muy buena. Y la marca de lo mejor en monitores. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

  9. Update 1 year later: I got this setup originally in late 2023 a couple months before my November baby was born as this was for him. I’m changing my 3 star review to 1 until vtech does something. Vtech has a sepearate customer service page just for their baby monitor systems. I contacted them months ago over the temperature icon suddenly disappearing. No reply. It reappeared eventually though so I never bothered reaching out agaun for it.As of having it for a year now though more issues have popped up and the biggest one being one of the three cords has stopped working. Won’t charge the monitor or turn on the cameras. It’s just. A dead cord now.Second, the monitor hardly retains as much battery life anymore. The battery life for the monitor over time has gone down a lot which has made the cord issue all the bigger because if i need to charge the monitor I’m down one camera.Three. One of the cameras now has rotation issues to the point where it fully stops mid rotation, chugs along funny, and turns at the pace of a snail.I contacted vtech asking HOW i could replace the cord last week at this point. It’s been almost a whole business week with no reply. And I thought I’d add this fun picture since having this system. Vtech claims it can only have 2 cameras. My monitor has glitches a couple times to have this screen and I was lucky on the second time it happened to catch a Pic. Still can only have 2 cams but :(I’m sure there’s enough videos that I don’t need to add my own but this video monitor while great for the price is absolutely crap sound wise. It was right next to a room and could not pick up on one of my kids crying bloody murder when we could hear him across the house. Monitor has issues picking up on sounds next to it altogether. My kid has screamed at the monitor and not only does the sound lag it hardly picks up even at full volume. The other con for this thing is the image quality is super meh. If you wanna see if the kid is sleeping or breathing the image fuzzes so much you can’t even tell if their eyes are closed. The battery quality also is weirdly 50/50 on how long it lasts. We’ll charge it fully and it’ll either last hours near the full time it says or half that. No changed settings. It also does not do good near any sunlight. Ruins the image entirely. We have curtains in the room we have this in and sunlight just icks it. It cannot face the window at all. Some pros to this are its night vision. The night vision is pretty bright and I’m decently impressed with it. The two way talk is nice as well. My kids can definitely hear me through it. Though it is a little bit of a con for them that we can’t hear each other at the same time if they make noise back. And that the camera mutes itself any time it moves. This camera also has no invert features that will allow you to change the image set up of the camera. Like if you turn it upside down on the hanging mount your side images are goofed. So to have the image perfect without goof you will have a blind spot directly down. And to add to the sound being garbage I turned on the music. Super loud on the parent unit. Actually went out to hear it myself and nothing. Barely anything. It is what it is. So overall to sum it up despite its low price for a double came monitor…if ever comes to need to buy a new one or replace…I would not buy this one again for my needs.

  10. We ordered this for the multi camera feature since we have two littles who still need them! I love how I can view both rooms at the same time! It’s also nice to be able to see both of their room temperature as well! So far the only problem we have encountered is when I leave the sound on one room for half the night and I go to switch it to the other room, it keeps switching back to the first room unless I deactivate the multi camera mode. Of course, this could very well be user error. Otherwise, this is an amazing video baby monitor!

  11. 10 month ownership review. We got this camera system after 2 (!!) failed Infant Optics Pro systems @ $200/ea. Those monitors are clear, crisp, and apparently extremely fragile – about the polar opposite of this system. These are inexpensive, come with two cameras with interchangeable power cords for cam/monitor which is nice, and are indestructible. Seriously, this monitor seems tornado proof. The only downsides are with the camera: it doesn’t filter sound machine noise, it seems like it has a telephoto lens attached – you need to place it pretty far away from your kiddos bed, and the image quality makes your kid look like a potato. For me, with my son as a toddler, I just need to know if that little potato is crying, sitting up, or even out of bed and it works just fine. Great bang for the buck!

  12. The overall quality of this camera and monitor is good and we enjoy the use of it. There are a couple cons with it, but overall it is a good camera. Pictured, the stand on the back of this monitor is not big enough to hold it upright if on a soft surface such as a couch. You have to use something to stand it up or put it on a table. Not a huge issue, but the generation we had before this one had a better stand on it. The night vision quality is good, but not as clear as what we were expecting. I do love that the light shows the sound level in the room going from green to Orange to red if your little one is very upset. It also has a sleep mode that still has the sound on, but the bright light the screen is off. Set up was also very simple and it comes with wall mounts. The chords that come with each item are very long, which is extremely helpful . Overall, the camera is a good buy and worth the money considering the price is about middle ground when it comes to baby monitors.
