Excellent Machine, Very Soothing
I bought this machine late January 2019. My wife and I have been trying it out nearly daily since it arrived.The machine is stylish and small. As described in the product description, it’s ideal for travel. We use the power adapter, but it also takes three ‘AA’ batteries for use where a power outlet is hard to find. The buttons are arranged very well, I have no problem turning it on or changing the sound in the dark. The only thing that might be a problem for some is that the red power light stays on even after auto-off, but it’s a red light, so shouldn’t disturb sleep. The auto-off light also stays on until the machine shuts off. That one is white, so it might be disturbing to some. I myself don’t see either light because our bed is taller than the night table it sits on and neither light is bright enough to project around the room.The sounds are great, we love the variety. My wife’s favourites are the beach and the rain, and mine are the beach and the thunderstorm, though I’ve tried all but the white noise and the fan. The sounds are soothing and help us get to sleep. I’m a bit of a night owl, so I tend to go to bed later than my wife does. We set the machine for 60-minute auto-off, and if I were to turn it on again, it may wake her, so I use earbuds. The sound is great in the earbuds, but I need to adjust the volume since it’s a bit louder than the speakerThe volume knob is very sensitive, so to get the volume level just right, I have to be very slow and subtle, or it will change too fast.I’m most impressed with the looping. I’m one who tends to find patterns, and I found both in the beach and the thunderstorm regularity in the sound: three ocean waves and three thunderclaps respectively. For all but the thunderstorm I cannot tell where the sound loops–they’re seamless! Very impressive. I can tell when the sound loops in the thunderstorm because the rain slows slightly between the beginning and end, so the slight, sudden increase in rainfall is the tell-tale sign the sound has looped. But it’s not distracting enough to prevent me falling asleep. It takes only 15 minutes or so.Thanks for a great product, I would recommend it to anyone with trouble sleeping!
Night Shift Worker’s Saving Grace!!!
I am a 60 hour per week, continental night shift worker and, unfortunately, live beside narcissistic neighbors who don’t work and do everything in their power to make other peoples’ lives who live around them, as miserable as their own! They know I work nights and yet allow their dogs to bark continuously throughout the day, as well as continuously run the lawn mower directly along the fence line between our properties about an hour after I get home from work and into bed in the morning. I purchased this Sound Machine on a whim on sale during Amazon Prime Days, with the hope that it would drown out my neighbors and their narcissistic nonsense! This little sound machine is my Saving Grace!!!! I turn on the Fan option, crawl into bed and the next thing I hear is my alarm clock beeping for me to get up!!!! This machine is a game changer for sure. When I woke up this afternoon, the grass along the property line had, yet again, been cut by my neighbors and I didn’t miss a wink of sleep thanks to this amazing product!!! This machine even blocks out traffic noise from the busy road live on. It arrived quickly and is everything the ad says and more. I have no issue fully recommending this product for every shift work who lives in an environment where noise is an issue interfering with sleep.
Loved the first, sadly second is not working
We love this sound machine. Have one for our older daughter and recently got one for our younger daughter. We love the thunderstorm sounds. It has been great to help them go to sleep and even travel with as it is light weight and compact. It also is a lovely design that looks okay sitting out. However the one we just got in May started flashing the lights on the timer and then would have the light on to say it was working but no sound would come out. We are sad that this one hasnât lasted as long as our first and is now just not working at all, after our return window has closed.

Good choices in sounds, volume is good and so far I have t had to plug it in. Too bad thereâs no Bluetooth option but I like it a lot.
Plug in, nice sounds, peaceful
This is a plug in so its perfect for the bedroom but not on the go. I plug this in near my baby’s crib and she is so quick to fall asleep vs. without it. Sometimes I use it myself to listen to the waves or the forest sounds for relaxation.
Sound not as crisp as my other two purchased
I previously purchased this sound machine (white version) for two other bedrooms in my home. The first two have great sound quality and a bonus that I can have it battery powered for an event like a power outage. This one has mediocre sound quality (but only on some sound settings). I didn’t bother with a return due to this one being more of a back up and I can push past the flaws.
Great product
Love this. Very easy to use. I looked at previous reviews and bought the silver over the all white due to the small light that turns on when you use it (Silver has a red light and white has a white light).The red light is not bothersome at all when trying to sleep (reviews said the white light was too bright on the white model). The volume goes quit loud and the 8 choices for sound are all clear and nice sounds. Great choices for sound selection as well. It is very light weight and easy to transport. It is small enough that it doesn’t take up much room (about the size of a radio alarm clock). My daughter loves it and sleeps with it every night. She says it helps and she is sleeping much better with it. ð
Defective or garbage quality
The machine stopped working after 2 hours of using! It is really light and looks like crappy quality. Returning
I bought this for my son to help him relax at bedtime. He said that it really works to help him shut off his brain, so he can relax. His favorite sound is the shower sound. I took a video for this product because it’s nearly impossible to fully describe a sound machine with only words. The sound quality is great and the volume is quite loud, even though I’m not sure why you would need it that loud. I love that there is a timer, so the unit isn’t running the entire night. Another reviewer said something about a white light keeping them awake, but the silver model has a red light, so it doesn’t bother you at all. It’s a very lightweight unit, which will make it easy to take on trips. Overall this is a really nice unit at a great price.
The volume is awesome and thatâs it. I brought this for the fan/white noise. It doesnât have a high choice meaning all they have for both fan and white noise is the base one. I got this to hook it up to a speaker because of my husbands snoring that keeps waking up the baby and then no one sleeps well except him. We need sleep too! So Iâm desperate but unfortunately the sounds of the fan and white noise have a throbbing trembling base noise. I was getting anxiety going back to sleep every time it would randomly turn off and quickly on. This alone I knew was not good but the baby slept thru it but then it happened again I couldnât go back to sleep! Well after 5 hrs it turned off completely like as if I turned on the timer but I didnât! It did the slowly turning off routine but again I did not press the timer. We need sleep at least 9 hrs bc we have two toddlers, one that we still call baby so yes after that he was up. A couple hours later we finally went to go sleep again and since itâs day time and hubby is at work Iâll just have it on without the speaker WELL with in a minute or 2 it did it again! Started slowly turning down the volume like as if itâs I press the timer tho we all know a 2 min timer doesnât exist so itâs definitely defected but Iâm not going to sit here and wait for another to come. Take a chance if you want this for a nature sound which it ainât for me so I canât tell you if itâs good or not but if itâs a high white noise/high speed fan you want this ainât it. Iâll share a video later right now Iâm moody bc of lack of sleep and I wanted to share the bad experience I had last night. Good luck!
Update 11-14-2019: Customer service with this company is fantastic. After my previous review (see below) the company contacted me offering their newer model white noise machine to try. They are sending it to me now. I will put in my therapy practice and update my review after I have used it. I have added a star to the original review, just for their excellent customer service and willingness to make things right.I have owned this white noise machine for about 5 and a half months. I use it in one of the rooms where I conduct therapy to diffuse some noise.It worked perfectly for about a week. While the âwhite noiseâ option is not a pleasant pitch for my ears I dealt with it and moved on. I bought this item because of the reviews and I liked the shape of it.The issue I have faced with this white noise machine is I will click it on, turn it to the usual spot on the volume control and nothing will happen. So I will have to click it off then turn it back on with the volume all the way up, which is an assault to the ears, then turn it to the appropriate volume.Also, after I set it to the appropriate volume, it will magically turn off without the timer set. I have to say, itâs not very helpful in a therapy session to say something to the effect of âHey, hold that thought, the white noise machine went off and youâre sobbing pretty loudly, so just give me a sec.âOverall, would not recommend.
Great product and even better customer service!
We bought two of these. The cord messed up on the first one already. The second is still working. I would recommend for daily use, but not for a gift.
