REVISED:I received a deeply apologetic communication from VanDeSaiL regarding the warped lid. They suggested that the problem likely occurred as a result of transit or storage conditions and despite the fact that I was willing to pay for a replacement, they have shipped me a new one at no charge!I will revise this review again when I have a chance to examine the replacement.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I ordered (and subsequently returned) 6 of the keepsake box (2 in this style and 4 in another style). The idea of the keepsake box and the two roses inside is fabulous but all 6 of these boxes had warped lids and no magnets in the lid as advertised. My wife loved it but we had to return all of them because of the warped lid (which may or may not get worse over time.) I kept ordering them in the hopes of getting a good one, but no luck. I’ll have to look at an alternative.

It was a gift to a friend who lost her mother. She loved it as it held all memory items.
Lovely Memory Box
My mother in law passed away recently and I bought this to give to my husband for Christmas. I filled it up with various keepsakes, photos, etc. My husband loved it and thought it was very unique. The box is lovely and can fit a lot of items.

The workmanship is barely acceptable and they lied in the advertisement. Γ’ΒΒThere are no magnets in the lidΓ’ΒΒ. The latch and hinges are ok. Overall I expected better for the price

ItΓ’ΒΒs actually a lot nicer than I expected. ItΓ’ΒΒs very solid, seems well built. Came tightly packed in bubblewrap and cardboard. ItΓ’ΒΒs a good find!
Terrible Quality For The Price
The walnut veneer on the top of the box is very poorly done. Notice the “grain” in the attached image. A big stripe of darkly stained wood running across the cover.The lid of the box is 1/4″ off, meaning that it is not aligned with the bottom of the box.The magnets to keep the lid closed are useless.Look elsewhere for a box.
