Ecokins plush is made from 100% post-consumer recycled water bottles PET and recycled paper that saves energy and reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Wild Republic continues the company’s promise to the planet, by reducing the amount of plastic waste effecting our environment. We are focused on reducing the 60 million single use water bottles used every day from going to the landfill. How do we make the adorable Ecokins stuffed animals from water bottles? First, the water bottles are shredded, cleaned, sanitized and melted. Then the fibers are spun into an ultra-soft fabric yarn. The fabric, fiber fill and sewing thread are made from this repurposed material. You will not believe how soft and cuddly these stuffed animals are knowing they started as a water bottle. The embroidered eyes and nose are made from the recycled thread, which also makes them baby safe. In addition, we use recycled paper hangtags printed with soy ink and cotton string instead of plastic cord. Wild Republic has taken it one step further by using a biodegradable shipping bag. Ecokins 8″ Alligator is made from 7 Recycled water bottles. EcoKins is currently the only plush toy that is made from 100% post-consumer material. My wife wanted an alligator so I got her one. It’s called snotty because it looks like a long bogey.
Bought this as a prop piece for Peter Pan, Jr. and it was a hit with not only the cast, but with the audience. It was super soft and very well made. Once the show was over, it was raffled off as a prize to a very lucky little girl who had the choice of Captain Hook’s golden hook, or this.She immediately grabbed the Alligator… or as it was referred to for the show “Mini-TikTok Croc”.

I bought this stuffed animal for my dog Ivory. He loves stuffed animals but is scared of the squeaking ones. This toy is small enough for him to carry around easily but strong enough to survive being left outside several times and being frozen and covered in mud. Along with being washed alot. The color has faded a little bit, but it is still his favorite cuddle buddy and the first toy he has to bring to guests. I did also buy the otter but I unfortunately bought one that was to big for him to easily carry but it is still on the couch for him to cuddle with. 10/10 will buy again when this one finally goes.
