Fun balance beam with non-slip stepping stones
We have tried several wood beams and this one trumps in quality and safety. They put some rubber padding on the bottoms of the stepping stones and all the wood is sanded down so there are no rough edges. When the kids want to use this set, we lay out a large mat for extra protection, as well as our kiddie couch on the side. There are so many different ways it could be set up as well. The colours on the beam are a nice pastel colour and not overly vibrant, which is aesthetically pleasing. This has been a ton of fun for both the kids, who are 6 and 4 years old for reference.
Details make this balance beam an excellent option.
I wasn’t sure about this balance beam set for my son (3 yrs old) I was concerned he might slide off one and twist an ankle, after weeks of use, he loves it, and we love the thought and care put into this set.* When I say details matter, this set has every precaution addressed. The bottoms have rubber feet, so no sliding around on hard wood floors (and carpets).* The wood (yes, it’s definitely wood) is soft, no sharp pieces/sides anywhere. Perfectly rounded edges.* The weight is ideal for my son, he loves to set it up differently each day. He plays on it a lot and never bores of it.* The textures, colors, shapes, and numbers are ideal in helping him learn.Overall, for $128.99 with 20% off coupon (at time of review) I would normally say its costly for a sensory toy, however because of the quality and thought put behind each piece, in this case, I say it’s worth the price.This is an excellent set that can be used indoors or outdoors and, all his friends and cousins love to play on it. (expansion set would be great too).Highly recommend!

They come with a rubber backing to prevent slipping.The listing for the beams say they have a weight capacity of up to 140 lbs. However, when my 110-lb son used the beams, they dipped slightly under his weight. While they didnât break, the flexing could make some children feel less secure.Assembly is easy, with six double-head connectors and two round connectors that allow for various configurations. The beams can be flipped to switch between the flat and sensory sides, adding versatility. Young children can create their own configurations and they can be combined with other sets. They can play a variety of games using them like “The Floor is Lava” using the beams, “Dominoes” using the stepping stones or combine the stepping stones and the beams to play “Memory Match”.Some glue on a few pieces came undone during use, which will require re-gluing. I also have some concerns about the puzzle piece beams. The puzzle pieces easily pop out and I have concerns on them popping out as kids are walking on them.I would like to have a storage bag/box to store the beams and connectors in when not in use.

They pretend they’re walking on a plank…..walking a tight rope….a balance beam…..are ninjas on a boobie trapped path etc. the imagination that this toy has brought out, I love it.

I got this wooden balance beam set for my toddler, and it’s been a fun way for her to practice balance and coordination. The colorful beams and stepping stones keep her engaged, and I like how each side has a different design for learning, like numbers and animals. It feels sturdy, and the non-slip pads on the stones give me peace of mind while sheâs playing. Whatâs great is how easily we can change up the setup for new gamesâshe loves creating her own obstacle courses. Itâs a solid toy thatâs both educational and keeps her active.
Perfect for a playroom
This is great for a playroom or day care. It can be moved into different shapes and paths. The colours are great and all the animal pictures and numbers are super cute. My kid plays with it for hours.

My daughter absolutely loves these balancing beams. She likes arranging them and the stepping stones all over our living room, and practices her balancing skills on them.I find some sides a little hard to walk on, I always try to put the smooth side facing up because I don’t want her feet to hurt when walking over the built in bars etc.I’m also a little worried about the weight limit (140 lbs) – I am 136 lbs and when I attempted to walk on it after setting it up the first time, it already made a creaking noise so I immediately jumped off and from now on only step on the connectors, so I won’t break the beams.So if your kid is close to the weight limit, this might not be the right choice.
These wooden balance beams are great for toddlers around 2-4 yo. They help them with coordination, teaches colors and helps to develop imagination. Theyâre pretty durable and easy to use. I love that theyâre easy to store and donât take too much space in my small house. My 2 yo absolutely loves them!
My first impression of these were that they look just like the photos..super cute pastel colors. The stepping stones are perfect. Good size with non-slip backing. These beams seam to be smaller than the plain wood ones but they’re more colorful, include different textures, shapes, and pictures. Everything about this set seems pretty good EXCEPT the weight limit seems off.The beams started to bend under the weight of a 4 year old who is only about 40 lbs. You can see this happening in the video I uploaded near the end. The description says the weight limit is 140 lbs. How can the beams support 140 lbs if they’re starting to bend under 40 lbs? I think it’s doable if the beams were flat on the floor and not on the connectors. Otherwise, these will likely break.One other tiny complaint: there’s a tomato with the vegetables. Tomatoes are considered a fruit!
These beams and stepping stones are made of some heavy duty quality material that will take the abuse of young children and last a long time. They are extremely versatile during play encouraging children to use their imagination. These pastel pieces are easy to move around but stay in place as the children step on them and I think k they are and excellent value because of their quality and the long term use you will get from them.
While this set is cute and the set up of it is nice, it is not rated for kids up to 10 it says above. The durability is terrible. My 6 year old was playing with my 2 year old and snapped one of the pieces when he was walking over it. All of the pieces that were glued in have come apart as well.
