Product Description

Package Includes: You will get 40 double-sided sight word cards, 16 wooden spelling blocks and 1 storage bag. The first word spelling game encourages hands-on learning as children match letters to form words, enhancing their letter recognition, phonics, and problem-solving skills.
Funny & Easy Game: Each card is double-sided design, one side displays a CVC word while another side presents a four-letter word. 16 wooden blocks are divided into 4 groups by colors, which allows four kids to arrange the wooden letter blocks to form the word on the card at the same time.
Safe to Use: Made of high-quality wood, the spelling letter blocks have smooth, burr-free edges to ensure they are safe for children’s little hands to grasp and manipulate. The card is made of thick cardstock, durable and sturdy. Printed with oil-based plant ink without releasing harmful substances.
Smart Design: The word cards feature a distinct design with various and adorable images in vibrant colors, which can greatly capture children’s interest and get their attention focused and boost learning engagement.
Boost Early Reading Skills: A great early educational tool for kids to learn CVC words and sight words spelling, pronunciation & writing, build confidence, develop language, expand children’s vocabulary and help understand language structure, laying a solid foundation for word comprehension and construction. Children will master the key to sounding out and spelling a wide range of words with ease!

This is a relatively simple set of 40 cards, 4 sets of lettered cubes, and a carrying pouch. The concept is to show the picture to a small group of kids, each has their own set of cubes, and they race to spell the word on the picture. If you’re just working with one child, it doesn’t have the same flow. Things they got right: contrasting colors everywhere, cartoon-style pictures, and a block set is all the same color. Also, the cards are sided–one side will have a simple cvc word, and the second side will have common 4-letter words. This basically lets you just flip over the whole set of cards to work with more difficult words. The activity is a great idea since it combines several physical skills with problem solving skills and low-stakes competition. What could be better: some of the pictures are a little vague (‘leg’ shows a whole girl sorta pointing to her leg), and it would have been very helpful to be able to cover the picture or word (think of a 2 sided plastic sleeve which hides the word when faced one way and the picture when turned around). The sleeve would allow the difficulty to be increased and give an alternative to the activity. As a teacher, I don’t always want kids relying on pictures to identify words…. sounding it out is a critical skill. Also recalling the word/spelling based on the picture helps with rigor. The cards are laminated and seem durable, so I’m sure I will be able to use this for a long time.
Love the set it comes with. Itâs a small box but it packs with so much. It is easy for my 5 year old to do and loves to âwinâ against her daddy and I. Itâs super fun & think itâs worth every penny.
The blocks are easy to manipulate, I wish this had more sight words, we use it to help our child to read, spell, and get used to every sight words from school.I love it comes with a black storage bag. It’s small enough to carry everywhere.
I’m always trying to find fun ways to keep the kids entertained and learning that aren’t electronically based. This compact card and spelling game is the perfect way to make times of transitions, like being in a restaurant, or just hanging out at the house – a fun learning activity. I love that the game has easy level spelling words that are only three letters long and then four letter words. Perfect for kids between the ages of 3-5. The size of the cards and pieces of the blocks make it so it doesn’t take up a lot of space in my cabinets or in my purse as we bring it along. Definitely glad we got this!
My 5-year-old grandson tested this out for me and liked the dice and the cards. They are nice and sturdy. I thought the cards would be wooden too but upon reading the title better, I see that the dice are wooden. There is a handy little bag to pack everything into when done playing.Pros for this product:- It engages young learners with colorful flashcards and wooden dice. It is a simple game and easy to understand with 80 first words.- It encourages engaging with your child, and teaching literacy skills while playing a game. There really are no cons. It does work best with one child or a small group but that is a good thing. Hands-on learning is a great way to engage children in growing their literacy skills.Overall, I think it’s a great learning game. My grandson prefers hands-on games and he enjoys this set. I have put it into his special cupboard for when he comes to visit me. His mom loves it and is thinking of purchasing a set for her classroom. She said it would be perfect for her small groups.
