Really love these cameras.CAMERA: Very good frame, you can choose HD quality and has a great night vision. Charging cord is long enough to set up camera high and get the biggest frame possible.SET UP: was easy : connect to your regular wifi (not 5G), scan the QR code to download the app (YiHome), plug in the camera, youâll see the connection on the app.FREE/PAY : The free version lets you see the camera in live, so you can see the frame in the present moment but not record. To record and have access to footage you have to pay a monthly or yearly fee. There are 4options to choose from ($CAD per year) : entry 53$ (1camera, 7day history, records activity only), CVR 109$ (1camera, 7day history, always records), standard 135$ (5cameras, 15days history, records activity and AI detection), plus 175$ (5cameras, 30day history, records activity and AI detection).I tried standard but the âactivity only recordingâ never recorded video movement from my cats or my dad in the frame, it only recorded audio activity like talking. I then switched to CVR which worked perfectly, all the time recording and access to the footage, but you canât choose to have access to the footage longer than 7days and have to buy the monthly or yearly fee for every camera you want the recording on, which can become pricey.TRAVEL: I bought these for travelling and it worked amazing, not one issue and I was 13h flight away, so i guess it works anytime anywhere.NOTIFS: you can choose to have notifications on or off for when activity is detected by the camera. There is an âabsent modeâ which should not alert you of activity if youâre home but it didnât work for me so I would turn off notifs when Iâm home.OVERALL I recommend cause itâs a great camera and worked perfectly for my 2week trip cause I paid for 1month 2 cameras and can use it as live footage from now on. However for a 24h surveillance security system working in my entire home for an entire year I would find it too pricey overtime to pay the fee for each camera and too bothering to have to switch off notifications every time Iâm home.

Annoying ask to pay on cloud storage
This product had been great for a couple of years but instead of wanting to grow the number of cameras, I am moving on to another brand.My number one issue is the annoying advertisement and the ask to want us to subscribe to cloud storage. If we want it, we know where to get it. I also have the card so do not need cloud storage.Because of this, and trust me it is really annoying and there is no way you could put a stop to it, I am willing to buy all new cameras from other brand. Otherwise, it is good price and do what it needs to do.

Great value. Good picture quality. Good sound. Mic a little echoy, easy setup. Free app. Motion detection and night vision. Bought 3 now. App could be a bit better. But happy for the price
Good Quality, Free to Use
I have 3 of these cameras now. They work wonderfully, and there is no subscription cost to use them. You can pay to have cloud storage, but you can put a micro SD card in that works just as well. The motion sensor is hit and miss, and there can be a delay. But otherwise good quality and will continue to use. Perfect for seeing whoâs at your front door so you can pretend to not be home!
Motion detection is not working for the new version
I have been using Yi home camera 1080p since year 2018. It works very well no matter footage replay or motion detection record with a SD card. No subscription at that time. Now we wants to upgrade to the newer camera with higher resolution. However, I found it very disappointing that no footage replay now and the motion detection records nothing for hours with the new version! It is really annoying that the old version is not available for purchase and I donât know if these key points will be improved with subscription or not. Trying to figure it out.

Seems to have broke after less than a week.I am not sure how to return it but it’s not working anymore.Says offline. Wi fi is fine with everything else but no light even on the camera anymore.Defective.Will be buying a new camera.When it was working sound wasn’t that good but video was okay.
I bought both cameras, as i have used this camera multiple times, so the box was open torn apart, the seller wrapped it with some cheap wrap to make it look closed, the worst part these are used cameras and they donât even work, he choose the worst camera he has and put them both in a box, they have the yellow light that can never be fixed, i tried to return it, it says its not eligible for return, just thieves
