  1. OXO vs Zwilling – OXO wins!
I recently purchased Zwilling containers for their Fresh & Save vacuum system. I purchased these drip trays to ensure that contents are not sitting in a layer of moisture at the bottom of the container. I decided to do a little home science experiment by comparing the Zwilling Fresh & Save system to the OXO Green Saver system which uses carbon filter packs. On March 4, 2024, I bought two fresh vine-ripened tomatoes – both from the same vine and placed one in the Zwilling container and vacuumed out the air and placed the other in an OXO Greensaver container with a fresh carbon filter. On March 12, I viewed both tomatoes and noted a small bit of mould on the Zwilling tomato stem, but both tomatoes were still firm to the touch and smelled fine. There was no mould noted on the OXO tomato. I re-vacummed the Zwilling container, and retained the same carbon filter in the OXO container. On March 24, I ended the experiment and took photos of both tomatoes. The OXO tomato was still firm, no signs of spoilage, no mould or bad odour. The Zwilling tomato was very soft with a large black spot and visible mould in several spots. Definitely spoiled and not edible. In my experience, OXO wins the quality competition for doing what it claims, i.e. extending the freshness of produce.

  2. This is a great accessory as it lifts the stored food out of liquid if needed. I use it especially when I store fresh cut raw vegetables, fruits, etc.

  3. Great

  4. The only problem with these is that you can only use them in the plastic containers, not glass. Otherwise these are 5*

  5. The grey drip trays are not the same style as the white drip trays despite both being categorized as “for glass boxes”. The grey drip trays fit the plastic boxes and white drip trays fit the glass boxes.
